Who is everyone maining? I still haven't even used most characters, but right now I'm maining Nobushi.

Also 4v4 is not balanced at all. The revive speed is way too fast even by default. Not to mention the stacking with gear and feats. 4v4 would be a lot of fun if the reviving was A LOT slower. Like I don't even have revive gear, just the feat, and I can revive in literally 1 second, lol.

I've been maining the warden myself, although his executions are pretty meh. I've been hearing that warden has a vortex of sorts, does anyone know about that?

After guard break, he can do two lights into another guard break, which is the unblockable shoulder charge. And I believe you can delay it so that it's a regular guard break.

I'm assuming it's something like that they are talking about.

Is it too early to talk tier lists? Seems like the defensive characters are heavily favored which saddens me because I was hoping to be viable with glass cannon offensive characters (Peacekeeper/Berserker/Nobushi/Orochi).

Feels like the game is balanced around that 4v4 mode and not 1v1 so there's deliberate mismatches like you'd have in a MOBA or Overwatch or something. Not like a true fighting game.
Defensive play is the way for most right now, but I have seen some offensive players dominating too.

Not quite, but close. The vortex is after hitting lights you cancel into the unblockable shoulder. If you think they will attempt to dodge it, you can cancel the shoulder into guard break. It has a ton of forward momentum. If they are in the middle of a side step, the guard break cannot be teched.

This isn't a totally fool-proof 50/50 vortex though. If you have open space it seems like you can avoid both by just doing back dodge cancelled into back roll. I am not 100% sure this is viable because no practice mode, but I've never been caught by doing this. Also, I would assume this could be called out with read by some other attack, just not sure what the counter play is. Also at least some characters can interrupt the shoulder with light attacks, which of course is countered by the Warden just attacking with another hit of the string instead of shoulder.

Warlord is still my favorite, but I'm exploring other characters mostly since I know him well already. Orochi has a lot of options to bait and can punish whiffs very well, which makes him/her really fun. It's a lot more active then Warlord, which is mostly just chilling while the opponent dances around, lol

Was gonna main Lawbringer, but their current state, while not horrid with more practice, needs work, so falling back to Warlord/Conq/Warden trio depending on whats needed.

Can you post some tips and strats for both Warlord and Orochi? Whenever you the time? I've messes around with Warlord a bit but cannot get his headbutt riposte down. I have to take my thumb off the buttons to do the down motion on the right analog, then simultaneously press I believe square? I can't seem to get it down.

I'm pretty sure it's a weird timing thing. Like it might be similar to plinking?

Gotta do the input the moment the last hit lands, the combo system in this games... odd sometimes.
As for the Parry one, do it the MOMENT the parry impact happens, like if starts shoving them away, you did it too late.

Yeah I'd say its too early to talk tier list because to me defensive chars only strong initially, the real strongest characters are those who have unseeable attacks and can feint attacks into other attacks to blow up defensive play. My opinion of course but anyone who is overly defensive is free to being can-opened cause nobody blocking warden zone attack or top light on reaction for example.

Full block says hello...it's dumb how much is trivialized by full block.

Full block doesn't work as reactionary thing, and for me every class I like has easy unblockables so lol at fullblock is my opinion.
I do reactionary fullblocks all the time and if you see the unblockable you can throw out a light if the unblockable is slow enough or if you're playing Warlord you can heavy through it.
