Injustice WatchTower Stream Recap: Info Inside including Beta codes and character incoming

Guaranteed jumpins are idiotic and a quick way out for someone who has no ideea how to implement a game and just copies from street fighter, which has one of the more imbecilic metas of them all.

Theres nothing wrong with that statement. If someone frame traps you or meaties you with a jump in then you have to respect it like you would any grounded attack when its not your turn. The issue with NRS jump ins has been hitboxes extending past their hurtboxes so anti airs would be stuffed during the active frames of the anti air. What they described is a scenario where your anti air would be stuffed on start up, which is perfectly normal.

• Got everyone's hopes up for a reveal yesterday, only to change the date when everyone was asleep so we woke to having no info as they said.
• Hyped up this stream saying there was going to be a flood of info.
• Starts the stream with the following bad news:
  • No reveal.
  • Beta won't go open.
  • Not everyone who signed-up will get codes.
• They hold important information until the end of the stream. So we HAVE to watch 50 minutes of them playing the beta.
• When they actually give us the info, it turns out that Wave 4 which was expected today was delayed until (possibly, maybe longer) the end of the week. Black Canary will be added, but who cares considering 90% of people can't play as her. Why? Because no one has a code.

That was a waste of an hour.

The only interesting question they answered was whether or not "Lantern" characters like GL and Atrocitus would have shaders that changed their Lantern type. And they didn't even actually answer that, they just said "Hmm... Yeah, that would be pretty cool" and then went to the next question.

There was literally no good news. It was just bad news, and a waste of time.

Frame trap with a jumpin? I really hope that won't exist because it would have to be from a + a bazillion move on block. Traits like Batman's who hold you in blockstun for a jumpin are ok, that is not the issue.

Meaty on wakeup is ok, because you don't have time to input the anti air.

I will be skipping all of their streams from now on. They are awful. Skipped today and see? No reason to watch the time fillers they put in. I love NRS and their games, but those streams need a buff.

No anti airs getting stuffed on start up is normal, they are not invincible, they are just another normal move. If the anti air gets stuffed while active then its a problem because grounded nornals should take ptiority over air normals, sometimes trade.

Example of having to respect a jump in would be Batman/Atrocitus trait into jump in. Yes you have to respect that, no your D2 is not free, it is still their turn. Number 1 rule of fighting games is know when its your turn. It is not automatically your turn because you want to D2. However if your opponent jumps when its not their turn then yes D2 should work

I really don't understand why they wouldn't just use this time to breakdown a character that's already been revealed? Like why not show off what's cool and new about Grodd or Aquaman. The way they made it sound, they're not even sure if they'll be able to do a breakdown for every character in the game on stream in time before release.

Nrs cant do anything right as of late, like sure maybe if they played while discussing news, info, etc fine, but why would i want to watch 2 scrubs play the beta at a garbo level, get almost no info, then after an hour of the people wanting a beta code typing !raffle and !code, and everyone telling tyler and dkirt or whatever, telling them that no one wants to watch them play, they turn the game off say black canary is coming out and wave 4 bye. Like are they serious? after 6 months of basically nothing, we get like 1 character reveal, then they lie to us about a reveal give mostly pros the beta(btw i have a code so im not just complaining about it for not having one) then they have terrible communication like tyler lansdown is the community specialist, who never talks to the community lmao. I dont think he has if ever been on tym to talk to us, or even have an account. I like NRS and Nrs games but as of late they are getting really annoying and killing the hype.

Welp, this only confirmed my suspicion that I am not going to get a beta code.
That's okay, its not like I wanted to be able to compete in tourneys shortly after release or anything like that.
Hey, as long as the important players got codes than it doesn't matter, am I right?

Right. Breakdown Deadshot or Grodd, who were barely shown. We can assume what Aquaman and Harley is like since they are legacy characters, but show more attention to the new characters that still haven't gotten proper breakdowns.

Another thing they could have done, depending on the state of the game, is show the Mobile game. Again, it might be to early to show the Mobile game, but as long as it's in a good enough state to show, they could have shown it.

It wouldn't have been very exciting, but we all know it's coming, and for people who want to see it can see it. At the very least it would be actual new information, unlike what we got today.

Personally I think they should've waited on these streams and info released. Instead, they get everyone all hyped up, then do nothing. It just seems like they jumped the gun and they aren't ready, now they're dropping the ball at every single turn. Especially this week.

He does have an account here and he has communicated with us before. Though it's not as much as most of us would like, he's at least done it.
