I honestly believe the reveal date was not a mistake, it just got cancelled/moved forward for any reason, leaving them with no content for the stream. They should've just moved the stream forward as well, there was no point to this. If they had at least done a breakdown of Grodd or WW or something like that, it would've been worth it, but as most people have said, we can watch better beta gameplay in other places. At least I hope this helps to make new streams better. I am glad I didn't watch this one.
My guess is that it was actually an IGN problem, and NRS doesn't want to throw them under the bus and ruin their relationship.

Either way, I wish they'd all just be honest about it. "There was a mistake on our website"? Come on... just say it. Lies hurt significantly more than the truth. At least the truth can be justified and forgiven.

This is a crew doubting themselves as players, but not as designers. They're seeing what Forever King, Sonic Fox, REO, Ketchup, Mustard, and other like-minded players are able to do with their characters in such a short time. Also, people have seen this too. Their breakdowns aren't going to be able to compare. Who wants to give a boxing demonstration to a bunch of young boxers after they just watched Mike Tyson hit the heavy bag for 15 minutes? They're great designers, but they're not pro players. If your being honest with yourself, you can easily envision why they're being tepid in this broadcast.

Come on guys. I can understand the disappointment of not having a code or having a reveal moved, but the NRS bashing and witch hunting for every little thing is over the top.

NRS is far more in contact with their community than nearly any other AAA-level developer. Yes it's not perfect, but no company's communication is.

I was on stream with Pig a couple nights ago, and Paulo came into the 200-viewer stream chat and just answered random questions for an hour or so. I don't think people realize how unique this is. Pretty much everyone takes this for granted.
While one could look at this situation and believe "wow, we finally get some AAA-level developer, actually be invested in the community", the majority of people will think this ties in with elitism and only promotes the notion of "If you're not an acknowledged player, we don't have time nor space for you".
