Vanilla Batman's cape parry is the trip bomb knockdown, via gear he can unlock an MB option (launcher) or replace it with his old parry, that leaves them closer.
Ah, okay. Thanks! I just wanted to know what to expect when/if I get into the Beta!

Currently it won't be used, and none of the moves will be used.

You just play vanilla ass Batman in tournaments.

And the custom moves will be for casual party time.
I don't know about that man, I can see some of the unlockable moves being available in the tournament mode as a permanent special move.

No beta yet. I cant wait to feel how Batman and the rest play but I will main Batman this time around. So far should Batman be buffed?
 
Yeah I feel the custom movea and shaders should be allowed for tournaments just not the power ups but I know top players dont want to have to learn different ways to play the matchups

I dunno if he gets a step back and better recovery then that could be an even trade off for double hitting and mid in the end. As for Bane the double hitting aspect just stopped him from yolo charging at level 1 or 2 which he can still stop by MBing the batarang or using trait. At level 3 its going to be the same deal, he can charge through or F2 or F2 cancel through them all the same, the difference will just be less chip since they are high but getting in on him wont be very different (assuming venom works the same way).

Also, I still want those games
I hope it doesn't work the same way. It ended up being way too dumb in the end.

The best mediocre Batman
After some more games last night, here are some thoughts:

- MB grapple mixup still exists in the corner

- B11 still has the same issue where the 1st hit will connect and the 2nd whiffs, may not be as prevalent

- Last hit of 112 can still whiff on block at times despite being listed as a mid

-223 hits mid the whole way through

- D1/D2 definitely have better hitboxes

- Trait cancels feel weird, probably a new timing to them (superman players say they feel a diffetence with their trait cancels)

Do characters have different Vitality numbers? I heard they do but this would be the first time NRS did this iirc

Not really, his trait was not the source of his balance issues, that was all on undividual moves. Command grab for instance should have had more whiff recovery, but other than that Bane was in a good place in the end and had his winnig and losing match ups like everyone else. Most people also just played against Bane like he was a normal character when he is not and no one really labbed against him either (I dont think I played against one person that punished mb uppercut on block after the 1.06 patch), which isnt really Banes problem. But lets not turn this into a Bane thread, that comes later...

Ugh, Batman's recovery overall feels like it lasts for DAYS when playing against Supergirl. Anyone else feeling this?

Yes. There is an air to air batarang that replaces sparkles if you want, it's pretty good and can be instant aired for good space control with fast recovery.

His cape parry is different in this game, he throws a flash bang at your feet which knocks the opponent away. But you can unlock the Injustice 1 cape parry which keeps the opponent right next to you.

There is an advanced parry now. Basically you spend a bar of meter after you parry somebody and Batman will just pop them up in the air for a combo before he even starts the animation for the parry.

Those are the only 3 new special moves I have unlocked

King, overall do you think Inj2 Batman is better, worse, equal? wassup?

Welp. After all my bitching and whining and anger at NRS, they go and make shit that's too dope not to be hype for.

Didn't sign up for beta 'cause I doesn't like betas.. but soo excited for this game . Batman looks excellent, you deleted that guys second health bar in the first match, holy shit.

He's worse for sure, in comparison to any version of Injustice 1 Batman. His launching strings were all nerfed, his mid batarang that was 2 hits is now a high batarang that hits once, and his jump arc is lower and slower so he can't do combos he used to. And his B3 is a punch instead of a kick so it has less reach. For the most part Batman only received nerfs going from Injustice 1 to Injustice 2, the only buffs were longer range on D1 and D2, high batarang hitting lower and having better recover, and taking a step back when throws a straight batarang.
