wow....different moves based on armor pieces....how is this gonna work for tournaments? are we gonna get default armor sets to choose from?
Currently it won't be used, and none of the moves will be used.

You just play vanilla ass Batman in tournaments.

And the custom moves will be for casual party time.

well vanilla batman aint lookin too hot.....we gotta at least have the moves available.

but then again, its not like characters won't be buffed and nerfed. but still, the special moves at the very least should be accessible for competative mode.

OK so a few questions
what is the Oki like off of regular and anti air batclaw?
when MB are the batarangs mids? How+?

All too easy...
Bane would have had a much easier time vs that. Same with lex. It's a nerf. The one hit high batsrang
I dunno if he gets a step back and better recovery then that could be an even trade off for double hitting and mid in the end. As for Bane the double hitting aspect just stopped him from yolo charging at level 1 or 2 which he can still stop by MBing the batarang or using trait. At level 3 its going to be the same deal, he can charge through or F2 or F2 cancel through them all the same, the difference will just be less chip since they are high but getting in on him wont be very different (assuming venom works the same way).

Also, I still want those games

Presumably Bane won't be the same either, though. Still have to see how changes to each individual character fit in with the other changes on the whole.

I'd probably side with King on being more wary of new character tools than old ones.

Well I can only assume he will be as different as Batman or Aquaman. Minor tweaks and fine tuning to his moveset but dont expect his specials to be very different or trait to be anything but venom damage boost with a hit of armor on specials and hopefully still projectile immune and armor breaking at level 3

Imo whether they focus on tuning a character's normals or specials depends on what that character's strongest asset was. They clearly focused on Batman's trait and his normals, so I don't see any reason why Bane's venom armor/damage wouldn't be up for tweaking.

People are making a lot of really big assumptions when it's way, way too early to back them up.

They focussed on batarags and normals but his trait is still pretty much the same not sure what you mean? Banes game was more based on trait than anyone in the game, I cant see it being anything else. Im guessing his changes will be more along the lines of no more mb uppercut on block, double punch hits mid instead of overhead, and reworking some strings or normals. Any chnages to trait besides changing a few numbers would be a total redesign and I just dont see it. Bane IS venom

Fujin!
His cape parry is different in this game, he throws a flash bang at your feet which knocks the opponent away. But you can unlock the Injustice 1 cape parry which keeps the opponent right next to you.

There is an advanced parry now. Basically you spend a bar of meter after you parry somebody and Batman will just pop them up in the air for a combo before he even starts the animation for the parry.
So just wondering because I'm a little confused on what I've been seeing/hearing so far, does Batman always have a parry? Like is it still in his base moveset? Or is all of his parries just unlocks/gear?

Guessing you either don't have the Beta or didn't read the rest of this thread
Trait cancels and combos being different isnt a redeisgn to the extent of Bane not having armored specials with venom, those are tweaks. Batman still has 3 mechanical bats that help him extend combos, apply pressure, help with zoning, and when he has all 3 he still has the lao style spin that launches, its pretty much the same. If Banes trait is no longer armored specials in venom that is a complete redesign. Tweaks like changing the duration or damage amounts for venom and debuff would be changes like the ones batman got to his trait and thats exactly what Im expecting

Vanilla Batman's cape parry is the trip bomb knockdown, via gear he can unlock an MB option (launcher) or replace it with his old parry, that leaves them closer.
