Guys you didn't need ~2 years to point out why and how bad of a game MKXL is - you can sense it the 1st few days to weeks.
Defending the safe 50/50 into 50/50 or 33/33/33 with resets , hard to block etc doesn't make you ''fan'' or the ''cool guy who supports NRS'' - it makes you a hypocrite.With the 1st Injustice NRS made a ''CAPCOM'' service with the back to block mechanic and with MKXL they made a casual community service , a MK game that is a Marvel pseudo clone with ''combos'' that make people hyped (the people who don't represent the competitive scene but the ones that buy easy Fatalities with IRL money).

All this stuff above are ''facts'' , proven facts and not a single drop of ''personal taste or opinion'' , because opinions mean nothing here.
I personally hope that we see Injustice 2 on EVO in 2017 , the game will gather lots of people from different communities and countries ... much of the cheap stuff will be exposed and we can only hope that NRS will act faster.

Well, I don't quite agree. EVO will probably never have two NRS games at the same time because, why would they, if both games have (almost) the same players and viewers. So imo this has nothing to do with the reputation of the game.
Also let's not confuse who's the client here. Don't get me wrong, I verry much appreciate the effort NRS is puting into the patches and into their games, but it's them who needs to sellt the product to us. Some peoples upset was to be expected the second NRS decided to put coinflips into their game.

So yes, it really comes down to whether people really love the game or not. MKX is in a state now that's plenty playable if people were truly attached to the game.

Hate to say this but complaining makes the game better. If it wasn't for us day one Tanya, etc would have been an existence right now. Right now people are complaining something that's not even new.

Truth^. Everytime I watch pigs stream he's crying, complaining, downplaying, the game. Everytime I watch Tom's stream he's complaining about grandmaster sub. Reo does too but less. It's annoying as fuck.

This community revives itself when the next game comes out, then dies slowly over the course of the games' life. Not just casuals, either. We've seen multiple people drop the game and come back, and some just drop the game.

Just to name a few:
Noble Jupiter
cR Honeybee
Tom Brady
PL
Pig

People have their reasons for not continuing, and everyone has their life to live. That's not my point here. My point is we have things like Twitter/Twitch at our disposal now more so than ever before and the words we say is what resonates to our audience.

Some people 'follow' because they're a fan
Some people 'follow' so they can keep up on news
And some people 'follow' to troll

Regardless of why they do, we have a job to do for OUR game and to ensure we continue to make it seem like its the best thing in the genre. This is where everything falls apart. Our community SUCKS at this.

I see it far too often that fans get ignored when asking for help/games/have a question of any sort. Sometimes they'll be graced with a 'like' and never actually receive an answer of response and hell, throwing them the 'like' only makes them feel even more ignored because they know you saw and read the message.

Our community would sometimes rather whine and cry about things that were completely avoidable in game and blame their loss on broke/dumb/busted whatever than to just give props to the opponent, slightly mention what caused the loss (lag being a huge one), and go about their day.

On the flipside, all of you who lose 30 games out of 31 and upload that one match and pop off... You're the problem too because we aren't going to play randoms who even we have a slight suspicion of. Top players, just like competitive players, want to run casuals but the attention seeking can lose you everything...

The money's gone? Is this a real post? Did NEC not have 10k? And, if you're playing for the money, why are you not picking a top character? That's the contradictory behavior that is just brutal to hear.

I don't think the issue is of the game being broken. Mk9 was super broken, but at its core it was hella fun. Look at melee or marvel. Super broken games but a lot of fun to play, and they feel good to play when you do well or do a great combo chain. Take mkx and injustice, you correctly guess low and open up your opponent for 1/3 his life. That's not fun to deal with nor is it fun to do against someone. Games that last have character variety, games that don't lack uniqueness. Mk9 has zoners, pressure characters, vortexers, you name it. Mkx has...well... universal 50/50s and a run button

in marvel if you got opened up once that can be the end of the game completely i mean all 3 characters dead and there's zero you can do about it. your point is invalid

i feel like people like this don't know what makes a game bad. no it's not 50/50's or reset city every game has that literally every game. both smash and marvel have way worse mix ups. they touch you once and you're dead is a common thing. The real problem is people like you who say bullshit like this.
you can have the most broke shit in a game if everyone has it it's fine shit. When you say 'service' dude you're the one asking for service. you're saying make the game play the way you want the game to be rather than adjust to what you're giving.

I play/watch a stupid amount of fighting games and mortal kombat is by far my favorite and probably objectively the best. The graphics are sick sound is sick character personalities sick character gameplay design for the most part is sick. Pig says stuff like kenshi/tanya/alien have bad character design which i disagree with completely. What the characters and their variations are supposed to do at their core is really cool and unique they just executed it badly and for the most part they've fixed.


There is absolutely no difference between complaining about 50/50's and complaining about zoning. In fact the only real difference between the two is you can avoid 50/50 situations but you can't avoid zoning

this is an absolute mindfuck, why would you stream and play giving so many hours to a game that you don't love?

I mean, most here are sheeps and may find entertaining value in listening to someone going over the same rants for 5 hours straight

I understand. I just feel like other voices in other communities bash their games less, if at all. Maybe it has something to do with our's being so young.

PL legit acts like MKX is scum of the earth on twitter, then when someone doesn't act like MKX is a real FG, he gets mad at them. You're not as bad, but all of it is silly imo.

Not sure why players mention me as a negative asset to the community for MKX or feel the need to bring up my name for all the reasons regarding MKX in a bad way. I'm not talking about just here since I've seen it on other social media as well. It's like no one focuses on the positives and some people would rather just point and scold you for anything bad you've done and put it on the "permanent did something wrong once list".

Yeah, I complain about MKX sometimes but you don't take into the account that usually when ever I complain or get salty about a character or game mechanic it's after about 6 / 8+ HOURS of consecutive game playing with no breaks. Am I supposed to apologize for being human and falling victim to the salt occasionally when playing and enduring for so long? I would like to see players play MKX for 8 hours straight without getting annoyed or salty at a certain point when things just happen. There's only so much continuous mix-ups and restands one can take before they eventually start to roll their eyes.

But as far as me being a negative, no one mentions that I've spotted many players before at tournaments when they'd ask for me to cover their entry fee. I sponsored Zyphox to SCR with full flight and everything. I even sponsored Michaelangelo to BOTH NEC and KIT coming up with full flight and registration. I even go out of my way sometimes to support tournaments by registering for them and adding to numbers of entrance (even free ones like Kombat Kup) knowing that I can't make all tournaments and sometimes won't be able to play. None of this is even counting all the tech videos, buying MKX copies for people, character guides, countless players I take the time to help, etc. etc.

I mean if someone like this is really worth mentioning as one of the absolute negatives and detrimental cancers to MKX, then it really makes you wonder.

Actually thats wrong. Justin and a few other people said bad things about Marvel 3 when it first came out. Im sure chris has said bad stuff about marvel as well. People trash on sf5, sf4. etc. some known players. some trolls. People will complain about any game.

Please don't comment on other community figure heads for different games in a positive light. SFV gets trashed on CONSTANTLY by its own players. Yet the players invest full time into it knowing that the game will receive support/content down the line and changes are almost certain; even if they just have to ride the current season out.

NRS keep us massively in the dark about everything. They never commit to an announcement and it is usually superceded with a trollish style comment on twitter that we have to guess is true or not.

As of right now we don't know if the game is being supported again (ever) so when another title that will get a ton of support on the outset and probably an actual league, I'd say players frustrations toward MKX are merited.

The whole game (especially pc version) has been one big troll.

To attend an event costs $500-$600

You would need to place top 3 to break even or make money. When I said the money is gone I'm referring to evo and esl for the game.

I stopped streaming in October to take a break until this past Sunday and I have bowed out competing since evo. I still like to stream because I honestly like the people who come to my streams and it's fun to shoot the shit w dragon, tom, crimson etc and sometimes it pays a little @shura30
