It's all so very confusing.
Games anyone in a bit? Not going to be paying to win so much as work on some stuff with Ryu and Nash. I'm located in US, Ky.
what type mp cr mp or st mp.I feel like the key is to mash MP more with every character. Ibuki. Guile. Ken. Nash. Ryu. Mika. Balrog (Cr). Vega...
It's just always MP.
Absolutely all the MPs. Every. Single. One.what type mp cr mp or st mp.
how do u play rush down ???????
just send me an invite when I'm on.how do u play rush down ???????
so it's basically u get a knockdown and never let up.Different ways with different characters, it's more an approach. Rush down usually refers to be extremely aggressive and trying to overwhelm your opponent with a ton of non-stop.offense.
Ken is an example of a rush down character most of the time. He wants to get a knockdown and just hammer you to death with run cancels and air tatsus and pressure. Where as, say, Nash or Guile are *usually* played in bursts of aggression, then you back off to reposition and approach behind a boom.or some such.
Before someone goes ballistic over me generalizing, I know that Nash can be rush down and Ken can be pocket aggression, I'm just GENERALIZING. Most Kens you see rush down. Most Guiles don't.
so it's basically u get a knockdown and never let up.
don't u have to fast moves that are safe on block and use tight frame block strings are it's once it says fights all hell breaks lose. That's definitely part of it, but as much as anything, you never let up period. Like the name suggests, you rush in and dont give them an inch to move or air to breath. just bully and pressure them as fast as you effectively can.
Ideally yes, but as you rush someone down, if you're doing a good job of it they become scared to press buttons eventually and if you get a good read on them you can start slipping in unsafe stuff from time to time and catch them out, or just further bully them.don't u have to fast moves that are safe on block and use tight frame block strings are it's once it says fights all hell breaks lose.
I agree, just too many problems.Too many people are confusing low tier with bad. Tier placement in a well balanced game (save for maybe 1 or 2 outliers) is entirely relative.
Gief, for example, isn't bad. He's good actually and has his strong points. There are just other GOOD characters with less design flaws.
Isn't kens run (vSkill) really unsafe? I mean he is totally vulnerable when he does it and even a jab can stop it right?Ideally yes, but as you rush someone down, if you're doing a good job of it they become scared to press buttons eventually and if you get a good read on them you can start slipping in unsafe stuff from time to time and catch them out, or just further bully them.
Im sure you've seen Ken players cancel in to a run then go in to further pressure? Well, if Im not mistaken, Ken's run is *always* negative when used on block, and evenm at the highest levels of skill and competition, Ken's are able to get away with very unsafe runs to close distance and maintain pressure. They're able to do that because they have conditioned the other player not to press buttons because of their rushdown. When you try to poke through pressure and you eat a Ken combo for a quarter of your health and then have to play the wake-up game where you stand to lose enough more life, you start getting nervous to press buttons - That is usually when pressure transitions to rush down. At least in my view of things.
All of us use our safe on block normals and strings to pressure from time to time, rushdown is when you pressure constantly and use that pressure to scare your opponent in to either making mistakes and/or kind of freezing up, allowing you to get away with shit you ordinarily wouldnt be able to.
On paper. Sure. But rollback/lag plus a little input delay... plus the fear of the insane dmg he'll do if he touches you... hard to deal with.Isn't kens run (vSkill) really unsafe? I mean he is totally vulnerable when he does it and even a jab can stop it right?
Yeah, like Kroaken said, its fully jab-stoppable, but if you're getting heavily rushed down and have eaten a 30% combo or two, it gets a lot harder to stop it. If he just does it cold, its not bad at all, but if he's conditioned you to be cautious with pressure and his idiotic damage, then that micro-hesitation will get you counter hit or CC'd instead of jabing sucessfully.Isn't kens run (vSkill) really unsafe? ok im going post a few videos later of me attempeting to rush a opponent down im going to need your opinion on if i was truly "rushing down" the opponentIdeally yes, but as you rush someone down, if you're doing a good job of it they become scared to press buttons eventually and if you get a good read on them you can start slipping in unsafe stuff from time to time and catch them out, or just further bully them.

Well we can try to give you pointers, ans im happy to take a look, bit there isn't an exact way to rush someone down and it tends to change on a person by person basis, based on how an individual reacts to heavy pressure.ok im going post a few videos later of me attempeting to rush a opponent down im going to need your opinion on if i was truly "rushing down" the opponent
so it is specific dependent like based specifically on and dependent on the character the opponent and content of the situationWell we can try to give you pointers, ans im happy to take a look, bit there isn't an exact way to rush someone down and it tends to change on a person by person basis, based on how an individual reacts to heavy pressure.
Some people lock up and just block. These people typically let you sneak in unsafe stuff once you realize they are freezing and not reacting. These are the kinds of people you would risk some negative stiff against possibly.. some people just mash jab to try to interrupt you, so vs someone like that you want to mix frame traps in and use sequences that let them jab somewhere between so.you can fish for a counter hit or crush counter and confirm in to big damage. Some people will reversal you, so you want to try to bait the dp(s) by either flat out reads or offering them tempting windows to try to DP out. Only to block, Cc and rake half those life. Some people are smarter and will vreversal, so identifying when they like to do that will help. Some people do all of the above..
It's tricky to say 'yes that is correct rush down' because what works against one person may not against another. Also, since one part of rush down is using your pressure and the fear you've built in them, just watching a static sequence, it's easy to say 'oh yeah well this or this is negative and you can jab here or reversal there' etc. When in the heat of a match it's much different.
You play Alex right? I don't know how much of a rush down character Alex is..@kroaken can give you some advice though. His Alex is the best I've ever personally fought against.

I don't understand how you feel this about Kens run yet write off Ibukis command dash when it's faster and she isn't in a counter-hit state during itYeah, like Kroaken said, its fully jab-stoppable, but if you're getting heavily rushed down and have eaten a 30% combo or two, it gets a lot harder to stop it. Watch a Ken play. Then watch an Ibuki... Who gets more mileage? I never said Ibuki's dashes are useless, I just said a good opponent is going to make you pay for them. It's all about conditioning, and Ken is way more likely to stop you pressing buttons then Ibuki is. Ibuki's dashes are also, at least to me, more visually arresting. Which makes them easier to identify and react to.I don't understand how you feel this about Kens run yet write off Ibukis command dash when it's faster and she isn't in a counter-hit state during it

What the hell you spending your money on?All this talk about who sucks and who doesn't about to make buy another DLC character. I'm trying to hold on to these FM for season 2 dammit.
ibukis dash is literally one frame faster than kens, and only if it's the lk. The mk one is slower than kens run. add to that the fact that ken has a 4 frame medium to beat out lights and less hitstop on his normals so it's harder to react and you end up with a flat out superior tool. Also the fact that it's just one of MANY options ken can use helps it beat out ibukis ONLY(non triggered) mixup option and it becomes infinitely better. So no, you're not wrong. The move is flat out better and scarier in every way, Myles just likes to spout random shit.Watch a Ken play. Then watch an Ibuki... Who gets more mileage? Maybe I'm totally wrong, but I see the best players in the world eating point blank runs vs Kens and I see the handful of Ibuki's of any high skill, using the dash very sparingly, if at all, outside of combos/specific setups, and if you watch MajorBoy vs some of the best in the world, even playing online, the dash is used very cautiously.
I don't write her dash off, it's just not as close to as threatening as Kens run because the character behind the dash is a shadow compared to the one behind the run.
