General/Other - Sub-Zero Sub-Zero General Discussion

M.D.

Spammer. Crouch walk hater.
Yes, three-four times per match because that's how many bars you get for armor. What about the other 82749473 times he does it?

I think that M.D. secretly loves Sub Zero. There's no other explanation. How can he complain every time against Sub Zero if it is demonstrated that there are better characters than him. Tremor, Takeda, Ermac, Sonya demolition (grenades are an offensive and defensive better version of the ice Clone). Boraicho ( fart doesn't go away on hit). Alien Acidic. Cassie Cage with her 50/50's and meter less combo. Shinnock the easy execution man. Quan Chi looping 50/50's and so on. Admit it. You are in love with Sub Zero. Aren't you?.

Nu-Skoool

Feel the nerf of despair
Can't any armor go right through it now though?
It's hard to react to unless it's a hard read or obvious, for the most part.

After playing with Cryo and learning his b22 OS (command on block, slide on hit) I'm really surprised I haven't seen much of anything like d4xx clone OS. I feel it's there, just have to dig in the lab.

This is why I trolled him in his profile. xD

Anti Kenshi tech.
This Works only if you can touch him in the first place.
F4+ice bomb--back dash--slide.
Explanation:
F4+ ice bomb (The enhanced and the non enhanced have different back dash timings) + back dash (if Kenshi reversal the ice bomb with it's spirits, the back dash will make those specials to whiff) + slide (punish the spirits after the back dash) into a hard knockdown.
F4+ ex Ice clone leaves Sub Zero with an enough plus frames for a free Jump in, and if Kenshi do reversal with spirit push will whiff and you get a free combo.
That's all for now.

At work, reading this Anti-Kenshi tech like:

Dankster Morgan

It is better this way
Still waiting for Q to be revealed for SFV.

but in all seriousness: are there any good tech or advice on how to deal with Takeda? I'm not sure if 10/4 did anything to him but it still looks pretty much the same bs against GM.
GM still gets bent but I think Unbreakable might do okay. String into Kunai doesn't jail so we can launch him for a combo in Unbreakable, we don't take chip from his pressure, and can parry some stuff that the klone can't.

Tips in the Possessed match up.

Jump over push on a read, run past his other projectiles on a read.

D4 after overhead minion on hit when midscreen. It's +2 and you're faster than Kenshi from that range.

Don't klone or throw ice balls a lot midscreen. Kenshi's BF3 will destroy those, teleport will destroy ice balls. A good Kenshi will not do things that will constantly get him caught by klones or iceballs when midscreen. The only reason you should klone midscreen at all, is to give him something to think about when teleporting.

Properly space your B2. If you don't, he can punish it with various normals. From max range, he can only push. Great risk/reward for Sub Zero.

This one is important, and no Sub Zero does either of these. NJP or D2 teleports. I know it sounds silly. Sub Zero's D2 is buns. Just trust me. NJP it on a hard read, D2 it on reaction. His D2 lowers his hitbox, to where it will beat Kenshi's teleport, unless he teleports from 42. Standing 1 will sometimes get caught. If Kenshi teleports from 42, backdash. He's too plus to punish consistently.

In the corner, meaty properly. If you don't, Kenshi will wake up with meterless push. Run up and poke, if you can't get there to B2 him in time, whether your klone is up or not.

EX slide punishes the regular overhead demon. This is really good in Unbreakable.

If Kenshi does his mids or lows into low demon, like 322, B1 or B32, there's a big enough gap to cross over and full combo punish him. It's not a bill like smoke bomb, you really will punish him 100% of the time with a cross over jump. 421 jails into low demon.

If you block EX overhead demon, he can push you, and all you can do about it is block or armor. He's +5 with push back. When he's not +5, like after EX push on block, you can jump the next push for a full combo, if he does it.

In the corner, if you have the close klone set up, you can full combo punish EX overhead demon, with a backdash followed by a slide. You can full combo punish EX push with a cross over jump.

Kenshi does not have quick enough mids or lows, to stop D1 into D1 on block from this verison's Sub Zero. He has to D1 back, so the risk on D1 into D1, is not that bad.

Kenshi has a good NJP and D2, do not jump too much. I mean you are Sub Zero, so jump, but just don't be too predictable.
