Kotal has slow armor which means in the corner he is very easily armor broken. He also has pretty crappy ways to deal with Klone. Now as far as just a character by himself in the training room it's dependent on the variation. Sun God, you can option select the absolute crap out of his tick throws, making them pretty bad. In Blood God the character has 0 armored moves which cause him to be PREEEEETTY shitty when he's being pressured. And war god. While you do not NEED to constantly use your gaps and if you play solidly enough you can be hard to be read. However! The character has a TERRIBLE time with heavy zoning and is unsafe in certain areas. Saying "Tekken Master doesn't get read very often so the character must be broke" doesn't mean the character is broke.

can you please tell me where did I say Kotal was 'broken'
I am saying he is underrated
and which character in the game doesn't have a favored variation, in Kotal's case it's WarGod because it does better in most matchups compared to Sun God and Blood God who have specific matchups that are good at.
So because Grandmaster is like a 6-4 for WarGod that makes WarGod not underrated? Grandmaster is ONE variation out of like 90 variations in the game..how does that explain his 'flaws' my question to you was what are his flaws? outside of those infamous gaps he has in his b122 options.

Saying Mileena isn't broken because you can beat her is like saying Sonya isn't broken...because you can beat her. Every character in this game is beatable, it's a fighting game that's how it works. Am I saying she's broke? No, I think she like just barely misses top 5 but she's not "broke" if we're going by Sonya and Alien as our standard right now. Does she need to be normalized? Ab-so-fucking-lutely. She got the Takeda treatment and now she needs fixing, that's all. But please do NOT use beatable as a way to convey balance, you just look silly.

Did you guys know that Demo Sonya has jailing run cancels that basically block infinite people?

If you disagree you're downplaying.

That's essentially every Alien argument I have on TYM. I destroy a flat out false narrative, and that somehow makes me a downplayer.

You can't just make things up to make a character sound perfect, worse than they are, or whatever your agenda is. Me calling people on flat out misconceptions or lies does not make me a maniac.

Saltface doesn't use Piercing. Are you still gonna stick with that terrible logic? So yeah guys you heard it here first, Dualist > Cutthroat because Dualist has made a top 8. Sonic Fox is the best player in the world and he has Mileena at #1 in the game, so maybe you guys should start listening.

I don't get your logic. you are debating and arguing with people who say anything close or remote about Alien being 'safe', 'braindead', or just generally 'OP'

if you've answered 'yes' on my question, then you need stop arguing.

I personally hope they nuke alien to the ground, that's what I hope comes with the patch. like really, really over nerf the hell out of the character. that's how OP I think Alien is.

His flaws include having issues with long, disjointed hitboxes, such as Mileena B12 in piercing, Alien tail normals/blade normals, Jason's B12 in slasher ETC. His armor is slow and can be broken easily by a lot more things than you'd think (Jason's B122 in Unstoppable/Relentless. His B3U1/D1. Hell B3 tail flip can break his armor if timed right on alien, B122 on F/T can break it as well.) the character isn't underrated, you are up playing him and THAT sir, is beyond ridiculous.

my whole point was that mileena is beatable and not as OP as a lot of folks on TYM say, that's how the discussion started and spiraled into this..

I main Grandmaster.

This approach to design is why Kung Lao, Tanya and the Borgs got over normalized. You are open to your opinion tho..even if it is as wrong as that one right there.

If you main Grandmaster then you are playing the wrong Mileenas if she is so beatable. Mileena bodies sub just as bad if not worse than Alien, but I'm not gonna discuss that now, that discussion has been done to death.

You can just look at results. How come sonic is the only acidic? Dragon the only Tarkatan? Hayatei the only Ronin? Scar the only Demo? How come A-List Johnny hasn't done anything in a while? I guess those characters are fine...

because Mileena bodies Sub, I should ask for her to be nerfed? Sub actually bodies a lot of characters as well, he corner rapes a lot of characters. do we nerf Sub?
I pick Bone Shaper vs Mileena, or I play her with Grandmaster and accept that it's gonna be a rough ride.
from the list of OP characters mentioned, Mileena Piercing is the least OP if I were to list down the reasons for the OP-ness of these top 5 characters.

list the reasons why she is more OP than the other top OP-rated characters?
She has a lot of tools and a lot of very good tools, but nothing broken in comparison or relative terms to characters like Alien, Demo, Takeda, Kano and what they have.
