usually you just walk at her and block. If she doesn't throw the mic down you can cross her up for a punish, or you can punish it on reaction with an ex projectile(obviously not as gief).

I don't think just playing solid is a viable method to win with the weaker characters in this game particularly the ones without setplay. You need to exploit match-up unfamiliarity and things your opponent may not be doing to scrape out a win and it doesn't feel legit

I'm pretty sure Ken has the best Oki setups from all knock downs without even needing to be triggered to set them up. All the other characters you mentioned either have to use a specific combo/ender, or activate trigger in order to mix you up. Ken is even more scarier while triggered because he only needs one mixup to kill you. His cr.hp xx ex hado, lp dp, hp dp corner combo is fucking stupid damage/stun wise. And it's not like he can do it only once because his trigger lasts for fucking forever....

I'm not saying Ken isn't a strong character, I'm saying he's not brain dead. There's a difference.

He requires quite a bit of skill to be used at a high level since he's got harder confirms and worse neutral than pretty much any top tier. as for his damage, it's good, but Ryu/Necalli/Karin all have pretty similar damage.

Ken has a pretty good neutral. Between his v-skill, st. HK, ex divekick, air Tatsu, and fireball he can threaten from footsies and get in close when he needs to. I don't think he needs to be super good at confirming b.MP>HP target combo because he has cr.MP, b.MP that he can confirm easily. b.MP is more of a punish. Or if you want to challenge somebody with a 4f move you can just do b.MP>HP~ex Haduken and be +1.

It takes skill to put all his tools together and win, but it's not like he doesn't have a bunch of great tools to choose from in the first place.

both are diamond league now

beat this guy with 20x throws in one match, I have only lost once from 14 games vs x3terror so far in USF4

the fact that you played blanka in sf4 has made me lose 99.99% of all the respect I had for you. Fraud.

Yeah GGS again. I'm only playing Guile and Cammy until I know why I lose every single time and can win consistently. Need to just focus on getting better. Honestly, I after the first set against Mika I was furious and decided I need to play more solid and it barely helped so after that I just started freaking pushing buttons when I know I shouldn't have and I saw improvements in the results and that makes me sad. I try and not play with emotion in my game but I was sooo pissed at that character (mika) that I caved lol.

i will admit that in the last set with mika I said to myself "why the hell would you press that there?" Multiple times lol. But it worked.

And yes, it's half the reason I play mika, I can literally feel my opponent getting mad when I'm playing her.

the fact that you don't know that my main was Guile for 7 years since SF4 vanilla days when Guile was the most underpowered character in SF game history among with Dan makes your comment non sense for sure
