Lol don't let that discourage you! As far as I've seen, there are a lot of people who still get intimidated when she gets on that staff. It also seems like they never expect the low, but keep in mind that is the most unsafe of the staff moves. Plus you can also get a nice 45% with two bars! There's a lot you can still do, it's just kind of dumb and risky sometimes. Honestly they did kind of screw Tanya over though. I'm actually surprised people still stick with her. I guess there are real Tanya players/fans!

Everything Dragons Rule!!! just said. I love how they adapted Tanya's character into this game, so I will stick with her no matter how many nerfs they pile on. I generally stick with Pyro Tanya but I've found that Draginata covers Pyro's poor matchups relatively well, or at least gives you a better chance. I would definitely say keep her in your back pocket.

Draginata can frustrate the hell out of people who aren't familiar with her. It's almost a good thing there's such a small community for her. Also, she's just so fun to use against sliding characters.

Are the snazzy Spin Cycle+Tele Cancel kombos worth learning? I haven't been able to make my fingers move that fast yet.

considering that they nerfed the tele because of this variation, I'd say yes.

DN was the variation everyone was playing at NEC, when the character just came out. The crowd started counting teleports in that tournament while DN was being played, and the move was nerfed soon after. You really think her teles got nerfed because of pyromancer?

It was not NEC... It was CEO. No naginata made top 8 at CEO. It was 2 pyro and 2 kobu. Please check yourself before you say something like that.

Oh ok. All I remember is if you saw Tanya vs Tanya then it was a light show and a lot of air footsies.

yep, checked. I guess the naginatas didn't make top8, still no bone shaper got top8 at evo either.

I've gotta say, I hate the bitch with a passion after having had to watch CR KidFromJerryMaguire put us to sleep with Kobu at every major, but Dragon Naginata does look dope af comparatively, and you've done a fantastic job with this. If anything can salvage her with us haters, it's stuff like this.

Does anyone main DN that is willing to help me learn her @Vak Phoenix you seem to be the most know. Also the best remaining Tanya. Ik she been destroyed but Idc I still haven't found a main after a year of playing mkx. And it doesn't look like noob, Fujin, Kabal are being implemented so. Tanya being my favorite mk4 character is my next best hope I started with kobu to learn a general view of the character and her overall movement. But I think DN has the extra range and footsie options with f2, b2 and her staff as poke thing. Any tips you or other Tanya can give me?

My best advice... Dont bother picking naginata up...

Great guide! Question: I have problem landing the J2 after the second Pogo. Most of the time it whiffs or if I delay it too much, it doesn't combo. Any tips? Even if you have some tips for the Pogos too!
