I'm loving ruthless. I wanna dig into lackey but there isn't a practice mode yet so I don't know how to practice his new bnb's.

I think the meta will be trying to make it whiff (which is easy). But lackey on wakeup is probably more intimidating than goro now. So many options!
I havent checked yet but does a neutral jump when tight on top of them make it whiff underneath still or is the hitbox bigger vertically? If so people are going to need to learn that trick, if not ggs lol

I like that he abuses b4, personally i play a more inyourface style of ruthless I sometimes forget we have awesome tools like that.
b4 is fantastic, its got longer range than the njp. its perfect after a 2f4, or after taking one step forward after bf3. If you're running multiple sets and they start respecting the njp, its a fantastic mind game.

New Lackey BnB's with roll extender! Also with the new 2f4 we finally have an 8 frame meterless punisher!
Thanks for posting this. I've wanted to see how that roll change affected Lackey, and it affected it quite well!

I'm not in this MKX online beta, but these recent character additions make me wish I had played MKX online for one hour.

Some new frame data changes
2f4 does 10% damage down from 12% and is +16 on hit up from +13 (better hkd setups)

s3 is +20 on hit up from +15
s2 is +23 on hit up from +17
f3 is +29 on hit up from +24
s4 is +16 on hit up from +10
I don't know what the idea is behind these. Can anyone guess what this intended for?

Lackey:
Boulder Roll and Double Boulder Roll are both +17 on hit now up from +12 and +14 (better knockdown!)
Boulder roll now has 16 active frames up from 12 and Double Boulder Roll now has 38 up from 34.
Recovery is now 19 and 16 down from 28 and 28. Both are now safe on block at -7 and -6.
So this explains why the roll combos are so much easier, the roll stays active longer allowing it to connect later, and torr recovers quicker to convert off it. Such a great buff.

My only assumption for the hit advantage buffs for all his standing normals are to make it easier for PnG cancels to link.

Depends on how good the Borgs are or any DLC for that matter, and how good F/T is left to be March 1st. The same people flooding the beta with F/T are the same people who likely were flooding tournaments and online with BS Shinnok mid patch. Mkst probably never even played the character until the beta update. Right now they're only playing F/T because of them thinking its the easiest route to success, so it all depends on what the final results are on both ends of it.

I thought that too but the majority of these normals were already easy enough to make use of PnG links. 4 PnG into f2 could link without even run canceling, you could connect it with just a dash lol, yet they still added more hitstun to it. We might be overlooking something so I think we need to dig deeper! Also, I forgot to test this, does 2f4 have any tick throws in any variation?

I havnt tried. Its a move im not used to using tbh lol.

Lmao! Just stopping by to say I've fought more Ferra/Torr's in this beta the last few days than I have the last 9 months combined Lolol. I wonder why. :DOGE
Ive only ran into one FT online before the beta and it was @AceOfKnaves lol. Dont worry, did you see how many random overheads and lows Leatherface had with probably the easiest combos in the game? The FT fad will die when KP2 drops. What variation were they playing? All ruthless?

Yea they weren't even that good. Obviously new to the char. A few Ruthless and 1 Lackey. By the time DLC drops they'll probably move on to one of them haha.

Yeah that was like month 1 or 2, never got match with anither Ferra Torr since until the beta where someone picked FT as their third character pick and left after one game when he realized I actually knew FT. We should try to match up in the beta to learn these new combos at some point
