Future of MKX on PC; MKXL Enhanced Online PC BETA

I just got a XIM4 myself like 2 weeks ago. One of the best purchases I've made for gaming. PC is a wasteland for multiplayer on most triple A titles. I love KB+M and hate controller so I never switched before this, but now that I have I am so glad as the player base on PS4 is so ridiculously larger. If you are playing multiplayer games on PC for anything that's also on console you are missing out in most cases.
It really depends on the quality of the port in some cases AAA titles have more success on PC since they are moddable. The GTA series for example. Street Fighter 4 also has a strong PC community.
Alrighty, well let me elaborate a bit on my previous post.

Any cross platform title is more likely to be better on console, with better support, and a bigger player base. PC versions seem to be the last fucking thing the developers care about in those instances.

As for the other games you listed, which were designed to be played on nothing but PC ( you forgot LoL)...of course they have big numbers. They're great games. What do you suppose would have happened if they were all cross platform? Do you think the majority of players would have picked up the titles on PC?

I'm not arguing the interest. I think the big tournaments are cool as shit. I love watching when I get the chance, but if PC gaming is such a large market, why are so many games ported over?
I appreciate the elaboration. I would say RTS games do better on PC as a keyboard and mouse are much better input devices than controllers. SC2, Moba's etc. The only RTS I know for console was halo wars which I don't think did that well. Anyways I guess I read your post as you were generalizing. I agree the console games that are developed for consoles first and are then poorly ported PC perform poorly (understandably so). But the ones that are done well, do well. The Witcher 3, Fall out 4, Skyrim, GTA series, Battlefield games all have done well on PC. Dark Souls games also have done well on PC.

As a side note I think using a device to use a mouse and keyboard on console is pretty cheesy and gives you an unfair advantage over the majority of the players you are up against. Microsoft tested cross platform with Halo and ended up trashing it because the PC players were thrashing the console players and they wanted halo to be a console seller so they couldn't have that happening.

In all seriousness, aren't NRS not responsible for the port? Was it not handle by another developer? If so, Warner Bros. maybe the ones in need of contacting, correct me if I'm wrong.
It's still their game. They fucked it, it's their responsibility. I'll never buy another NRS game again (unless they give it to me for free because they sold me a game they aren't working on anymore).

I think that opinion is kind of old hat after looking into it. Since aim assist is heavily incorporated into games such as COD, there isn't too much of a difference when using a Scuf controller (which gives access to all buttons and both sticks at the same time) to KB+M in a game such as this. Controller only truly gets shit on hard if it's a game that doesn't have any aim assist enabled for them.

For example on PC for BO3, mostly close quarters guns are better using controller, however guns such a sniper rifles the precision of mouse wins out since aim assist is disabled on snipers for controller users as part of a "balancing act". As such some snipers are pretty OP on PC.

Make no mistake, sticks don't match the precision of mouse at all. But the aim assist can make you do things that a mouse user could only dream of.

Blind justice....
So the beta registration is open, and PC, as expected, is 100% ignored and omitted from the whole experience. This confirms that the absence of the PC logo in the trailer of the Beta is no fluke and actually means something.

Which brings me to the real point: Both KP2 trailers didn't have a PC logo in them, which most probably means that it's not getting KP2. And does this mean that we're also not getting any more patches, a la Injustice on Wii U?

I've been getting ignored by NRS employees on Twitter when asking them about KP2 on PC, so I'm going to do this for one last time. I'm going to tag NRS employees here and see if they respond.

@tylerlansdown @colt @NRS_JEdwards @16 Bit, can someone please comment on this and say whether or not PC is getting KP2? Thank you.

Mods, please don't fucking close or merge this thread like you did with the last one, so that when the NRS guys get their notifications they'll see something legit as opposed to "you've been tagged in MKX Complaint thread".

PC guys, what are you going to do if the PC version gets dropped?
You should really stop obsessing about that.

They will announce PC news - is it dropped or not soon enough, since i expect KP2 first character release date to be announced at ESL2 finals (and to be released before SF V) so you will know at that point for sure.

Also there would be no point of them doing Beta GGPO on PC, since they don't do PC inhouse, so they would have to pay Qlock/HVS or whoever doing it now for preparing the beta. Makes no sense, they will test it on consoles and when its done sent to it to Qlock / HVS to release it with a patch on PC. Just the way it was before.

Also unless there not going to be another ESL season for CiS, there is no way they can drop PC version.

We will know soon enough, just sit tight for few more days.

The player base alone is enough to show you where customer loyalties lie: Back in November, Black Ops 3 average players playing peaked at 60,000 for PC, while PS4 at the same time peaked at 800,000. Battlefront currently peaks at 100,000 users on PS4 while PC has 11,000.

The numbers are very telling. Now add in the crazy amount of hackers, and the cost to build a gaming rig...why the fuck do you think kids go with consoles?
Just to clarify, PC hardware and software sales have been growing for years. How can something that is growing be dying exactly? Not to mention more and more ports are coming to PC now than ever. What you fail to realize is that a lot of PC gamers are into competitive games, so they don't care for the yearly Call of Duty and such. CS:GO peaked at 584,831 today and its usually higher than that. It doesn't have aim assist and is esports lol. Not to mention communities typically live longer on PC. Hell, I can fire up L4D2 right now and find a game, whereas its completely vacant on console. I can't believe I was sucked into this. I feel like I'm on a console wars site.

On topic; I think it would be terrible for WB/NRS to ignore the players still on PC despite the terrible launch. Keep what customers you can and try to fix it in the future.

EntropicByDesign

It's all so very confusing.
If PC is ignored, I'll never buy another NRS or WB backed PC product, ever, and will be as vocal as humanly possible in getting others to do the same.

To cut is out is bullshit, and its shameful for a company to abandon a piece of their community because they don't stand to make as much of a profit. You profitted from me when I bought the game AND KP1, now I'll be left, holding 80$ worth of products that are effectively useless to me. You not only took 80$ from me for a product I haven't been able to enjoy MOST of the time it's been out (PC version didn't work for me for months) but now you are out dating the product I own with no option for me to stay abreast of the current game and continue playing.

IF IF IF IF this is what they have planned, IF IF IF IF, its disgusting and its shameful and I hope even those on consoles will be vocal in their displeasure of these practices.

What happens if next time around your console isn't as profitable as another and you get left holding the bag?
