Why did you choose your main?

When Mileena was shown on the Kombat Kast it was a wrap. I thought her design was well done. Luckily, she fits my playstyle perfectly. I played SF for a long time and mained Blanka. I would use his slide as a whiff punish, a way to go under projectiles, and a trip guard. I do the same with Mileena, but its Ball Roll. She just meshed with me.

Was looking for a character that can control space and play footsies. Lots of characters were suggested to me, but Kung Jin is the one I gel with best.

This has happened in injustice and now mkx. I start out by playing a character with lightning based powers (because lightning powers are badass) and then at the end of the summer i end up playing a defensive character with good footsies and a standing reset and just stand fullscreen throwing fireballs online

Reptile. Three reasons:

1. Nostalgia. My favorite used to be Sub-Zero until I saw the movie a few times, fell in love with his awesome music and fight scene, and looked into him. I tend to drift towards 'wild' characters, guys in green, and underdogs, so...

2. He's cooler than your main. He wears green and has cool costumes and a hideous face and a hilarious voice.

3. He has pretty much everything I could want. He's not outrageously weak in any category, and is wicked strong in the corner. His b2 is probably my favorite attack in any fighting game. Forceballs are my favorite style of projectile, he has Sub-Zero's slide (a favorite in my youth), and dealing DoT/turning invisible creates interesting situations to manipulate the opponent. ED is like a stamina-free meter-building run. He's the total package.

When I first saw Erron Black's trailer I immediately thought ohh damn! I love his personality and the mystery of his past and he's a freakin cowboy. Gameplay wise I love his pressure and the feeling of bustin a cap in your opponent.

Reasons I will be maining the following characters when I get MKX

Kung Jin
If you haven't know I am an archery character loyalist. I don't care if my character is top 5 or bottom 5, broken or fair, maining an archer is my go to intention.I plan on maining all variations give or take. While I dislike him having a 50/50 and will be hated on I will carry that burden of hate if it means to play him. He's nothing like Arrow in terms of personality or style (in fact his personality seems like a pissant). If he wasn't an archer, instant drop, I don't care how good you are.

Predator
I have weird tastes for (secondary main) characters, ranging from they have to look cool to their retardedly awesome damage output and just good zoning, Predator seems to have a combination of all those things (deriving both from Sinestro and Lobo respectively, though less of the later) and thankfully doesn't have a vortex like Sinestro does (I dread the concept of vortexes and rarely use them unless I feel the need to), I prefer space control and conditioning over mixups any day as the former allows me to open up without feeling cheap. What can I say otherwise, he looks fun as fuck. I'd argue because of his HQT he's more like GA than KJ

Tremor
Another tendency with my characters (in IGAU at the very least )is that all of them had an unblockable move. Tremor rocks, no pun intended, he had good damage and outrageous range on all of his specials.

Characters with easy combo setups. Kitana and Ermac are about as easy as it gets to get a hit and cash out big damage or go for setups IMO. Always been an Ermac and Smoke fan though.

in UMK3 i mained: Human Smoke and Robot Smoke and Cyrax.

Smoke has been my favorite like how Goro was some peoples favorite because they couldnt use him. well Human/Robot Smoke is the Best character on the roster!

i prefer Human smoke but did not like MK9 look of him

It's because Kung Lao is treated like a little brother, and Iirc you are quite young.
Don't worry, my younger brother plays Kung Lao too.

Quan Chi= he has just always seemed cool to me, his look, his powers, his moves, and his personality all appeal to me.
Goro= his back story is awesome, the fact that he is a boss character, he is half dragon, and ive liked him since i was a kid, also the fact that he was the champion of mortal kombat for 500 years
Ermac= just a cool ass sorcerer infused with thousands of souls
Ferra/Torr= his design is awesome, his play style is awesome, and his really interesting considering his like 2 people

I randomly came across the fatal 8 tournament video. Saw sonicfox playing as some cowboy wrecking shit up and I was like damn this character looks so cool, but I still had no intention of buying the game. Then one night I got drunk and bought it on the psn store after my friend mentioned it again on skype lol.

I remember when I first went into practice mode I chose gunslinger and for 30 minutes I was trying to figure out why I couldn't do the sand toss move that SonicFox was doing. (Sand toss is exclusive to Outlaw) xD.

So yeah I basically bought MKX because of Erron Black, had no intention of ever buying until I saw that beautiful cowboy.

Scorpion (Former MKX main) ("Dropped" him shortly after his nerfs) - I've mained him since MK1. I mained him for some time in MKX to secure/coninue that 20 year streak. He's my absolute favorite character in the series but I made the same tough choice I made in UMK3 with human smoke after some time, switched from him to another main(s) because they were better when it came to real comp (human smoke back then was just a super scorpion and he is also one of my favorite classic characters). Regardless in MK11 I'll go right back to him as my default main.

Predator(Current Character) - I've been a predator and aliens fan since I was a 2nd grader (comics, novels, movies, toys, games etc) So naturally I play him

Tanya (Current Character) - Played her in MK4 as a secondary to scorpion. Messed with her a bit in MKD. Liked her design/play style in this game too and the rest is history.

Personal attachment to the character. I am a huge MK fan and my mains were going to be Scorpion, Ermac, and Mileena but then NRS announced Jason and it was a wrap. I am a huge horror fan, and I am a huge FT13th fan and this will likely be the only time I will get to play as Jason in a fighting game I actually like, so I am enjoying it while I can lol
