I been an MK fan since I was a kid and been loving competitive play since the DOA 4 days. When I see these comments and threads like this. I wonder if the patch era of fighters have made us a whiny generation. It seems everything I used to love is being changed and dumb down for the masses. From my platformers to my RPGS, and now my fighters. I also learn in this patching era just how hypocritical gamers are, especially FIGHTING GAME players.
I swear to god FG players flip flop so much it's crazy. I mean shit the amount of flip flopping and overblowing of issues we do some of should run for office. I mean clowns like Thrump is doing it right now. We should campaign and back guys like an UltraDavid or Tom Brady for political positions. I mean I'm all for bugs begin fix and shit but the amount of complains I see are just laughable. Stamina is now a problem. Having too many 50/50s is now a problem?I swear in these ages of fighting games I only feel Namco is the ones with their head on right. I feel the FGC, not the NRS community, Capcom community, or the anime community, but as a whole run a lot of games into the ground to a point to where it's sad.(The smash community is following this trait too). I feel in this age we don't take time to look at anything. People threaten to quit the game if xyz isn't taken out. It's getting sad sine I feel we are becoming soft as a community.
What should we do? Well it's start at the top. Someone needs to tell the top players of all games to stick to one position instead of flip flopping all over the place. Next, it's time for the online warriors/forum monsters/armchair quarterback to shut the fuck up and show up offline already. These clowns are the ones these companies listen to for balance changes. We need to create a legit dialogue between the game devs and players, since I question if any not name Namco listen to the community. Let's stop taking to a forum, twitter, facebook, or etc to vent our complains when we lose since it just stirs pot and starts shit. Also, let's stop demonizing this game or that company. I have seen that a lot with criticism for NRS. Everyone wanna jump on them for too much patching when other games do it worst. Let's be fair and balance. We are becoming the FGC version of Fox News.
Anyway that is my two cents. This is coming from a fan of fighters and competitive play. I also play games competitive too.
