Eh, the thing is that rage-pulling is as common in some communities (where it makes sense; with your system, it will). Some of you don't seem to realize that the game can tell when you quit the game yourself via the menu and not powering down the console or dashboarding.
If your Net dies while playing Injustice, it says the connection was lost or is no longer available. That doesn't count as whichever person quitting.
However, if you quit on your own via the game's menu, it says as clear as day that your opponent quit.
Penalize the obvious quitting, not the possible loss of connection.
Yes, I know. But there's nothing they can do about that I'd imagine.Eh, the thing is that rage-pulling is as common in some communities (where it makes sense; with your system, it will).
Well, TBH I personally don't see much value in doing something about it. They just need to avoid issues like that one where you could get win (and make your opponent lose) by DC'ing, but that goes without saying. As I've said early, some ways to avoid people who DC often for whatever reason would be nice.Yes, I know. But there's nothing they can do about that I'd imagine.
Yeah, like when you avoid a player on XBL, it should actually make you AVOID THEM. It says it lowers your chances of coming across them, but I find that to be horseshit.Well, TBH I personally don't see much value in doing something about it. So true. I don't know why they didn't just stick to the quick brutalities this time around, instead of also putting in some long fatality animations. After a month, watching fatalities and brutalities will get old fast. Some people just want to get on with the next game.
i believe a wise man once said, "Strength isnt about how hard you can hit, its about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward".This is my first fighting game, and I've lost every match I've played but one. I'm not very good obviously, but I'm learning because it's a very fun game. I've never quit a match once no matter how bad I lose and I've always played each person 3 or 4 times a in a row. I just don't understand the point of quitting even if you lost. Take the L and try again.
From my experiences with Injustice and MK9, this is a big problem with NRS fighting games. Out of all fighting games, I think a lot of NRS fans are the biggest crybabies and rage quitters. It's frustrating when you lose, lose, lose, then finally have a good game where all of your hard work comes together and people quit out online. I've played many fighting games and watch streams from games I don't even play, and sadly, no other fanbase seems to quit as frequently and easily as NRS gamers do.
Anyone else for putting some sort of humiliating sticker by someone's name, or even going the Killer Instinct route of putting players in "jail" for quitting or dashboarding? I understand you have every right to turn off your console or quit out of a game that is overly frustrating for you, but what also needs to be understood is that there are many like me that play for the competition online, and thrive when the going gets tough against a quality opponent. In my opinion, not addressing this major problem in MKX would be a big mistake. With the technology out there now, there's no reason rage quitting should go unpunished these days in fighting games. Just to gauge how people feel about this, I will be throwing a poll up along with the thread.
... Who cares... How does that influence you? Does it make you worse player? Does it make him better players? The problem isn't rage quitting itself it's people using the disconnect glitch to trick the game into not giving them a loss.
I for one don't really give a damn about leaderboards but some people might and they are frustrated by people like Iran 84 on pc that quit the game in order to preserve their W/L ratio and stay on top of the leaderboards.
No other game makes people quite so salty with how bad it is though. But yeah, quitters need to eat a bag of cocks.no other fanbase seems to quit as frequently and easily as NRS gamers do.
