Loving the game as my first fighter I'm actually learning and not button mashing. However the online is a real hurdle for learning the game for new players like me as it makes learning stuff in training and then trying to implement it against real people very difficult.

If the online worked properly, I would feel satisfied. I really like MKX, but there are not too many guys that are good and with who I have a great connection...I can only have great games against 5-10 players :/ Offline the game is much more fun.

Online even finding a game is a problem for me...I just wait in rooms but no one good shows up or nobody accepts me (because they see a 0% win chance probably...NRS really fucked this up. Everyone probably feel discouraged from playing and I don't get any games).Ranked is meaningless too, it lags 8 games out of 10.

If you are on EU PS4, have a good connection and want a challenge, add me.

Ehhhhhh it's ok. I'm really put off by lack of anti-airs, defensive options, and the NUMEROUS hotbox issues and 1 dimensional gameplay which especially piss me off. I don't dislike the game but I don't fully like it either. I liked injustice a lot better.

I WILL EAT THIS GAME
Its a great game but the shitty netcode has caused the online community and most of TYM posters to be way behind the curve.
^^^after months of waiting to finally get in, this is my #1 problem thus far. Literally almost as bad as MK9 was before the patches started, and with a game that's a LOT more cancel-based between runs and specials, that's a seriously big deterrent. Any time I intend to pick up a Cassie/Jax/someone on the heavy execution side, my boner's going to die the moment i get online.

Balancing and Netcode aside,

I'm salty they don't make everyone have the same hitbox instead of making female characters behave in a special way making some combos connect while other don't. It's just one of those things that will always bother me and it's a taint on the game for me that I'll never be able to get past. NRS doesn't seem interested in fixing that so I guess it's a feature to them while it's a turnoff for me.

The faction stuff was really a waste of resources. This was supposed to make people want to go online and bring the community together, but instead it's just something everyone ignores. Instead of the default rooms being named after the factions, they should name them after the different regions, like US EAST, US WEST, ect. Way easier than having to go on there and make one of those rooms and wait and wait.

Back dashing feels pretty weak. I KNOW it can be a very strong tool sometimes, but with the amount of forward moving strings it just feels weak. I really wish it would get longer invincibility frames, I feel like this would make back dashing a strong tool that would open up a lot of strategy in this game. With how much pressure there is in this game, I think a good defensive tool like a strong backdash would mix things up in a good way.

Some variations are too similar to each other. Reptile gets one move difference between them. I was excited about the variation system because I thought I'd be able to play my favorite character in many different ways. I still hope NRS will go back and add some more differences and buff the useless stuff.

I love most things about this game though, I think it feels really solid and can be a lot of fun. It's my favorite fighting game, but it still has its fixable faults that I'd like to see NRS tackle. And I'm really hoping for more DLC including iconic MK characters. Ninjas and Robots plz.

You do understand that girls typically are slimmer than boys right? Do you want everyone to have man bodies lol.

i personally love the game. i understand the criticisms but i can overlook it, it is one of my favorite games of all time. i love all the nether realm games equally

if only they fixed the female hitbox , netcode, and actually made use of the variation system more, on the other hand i want some new dlc characters its always fun to play with new characters.

I will say that I'm satisfied but the game still pisses me off. I have my PS4 wired and I still get games with latency and lag, more so than I get clear matches. What pisses me off the most is difficulty spacing. I hope in the future NRS considers really putting more money and effort into online so that the game plays the same on and offline. Anyways I give this game an 8/10 but I expect SF5 to blow this shit out of the water. Oh yeah n Tekken 7 will do the same.

What a day. What a lovely day.
I think it's fun, but at the same time incredibly frustrating.

I enjoy MK simply for the reason that it's MK, but there's a laundry list of issues I have with the game (hitbox inconsistencies, awkward block stun, underwhelming roster, lackluster online, wakeup system, stamina meter/run mechanic, lackluster graphics, option selects).

I really just wish NRS didn't feel the need to completely reinvent the entire game each time so we'd have some fraction of consistency between games. I imagine it's hard to get everything right when every single game is a do-over.

No one is saying change the character models dude, the hitbox is slightly adjusted for female characters and it throws off a lot of combos and highs
