Such a cruel world when my honest grapplah has to make two reads that failing either gets me full combo punished. But Erron shithead black gets ticks off hit and a 3,000 hit string plus 50/50 that he can mb to be safe and low launch.

If not a full punish, it at least guarantees Kung Jin blocking and holding pressure.
Marksman Erron Black does not have to do this when he tries for his overehad combos.

Impossible to compare two completely different characters in two different games

I mean, it's not really that difficult. Imagine the frame data and the tools and i'm sure it's possible. The games are very similar. It's like college basketball and high school basketball. Very little difference.

It's funny, in another thread when Pig made a tier list erron black was mid tier, now that he got nerfed he's better? I still think it's too soon to make tier lists, all the potential of each variation havent been fully exploit yet.

Marksman Erron is better than Outlaw Erron, for a lot of reasons, and Kung Jin Bojutsu is completely outclassed by Marksman Erron.
Let's compare the characters.
Bojutsu Kung Jin is known for his ez-pz meterless damage confirms off of BF4 bo swat, right?
Jin's is extremely negative and punishable.
Marksman Erron Black has a move that fills the same purpose, but is completely safe.
He has this, in addition to gun cancel pressure, in addition to a cancelable 17% command grab, in addition to low overhead strings that he doesn't neven need to hit confirm, and again, all of his low or overead strings is cancellable and hit confirmable into his safe launcher that goes into more damage than Bojutsu Kung Jin could ever have in this patch.
Ancestral Kung Jin outdamages bojutsu at the wall, too.

Tempest Lao is the better Lao too, and the better character.
Pre-patch Jin is dead. 1 1 isn't plus. DB4 ex isn't plus. F2 4 is punishable.

@GGA pimpimjim I basically have the exact same except I created an S- and A+ for characters that are kind of in between.

The real Issue is that there is an S+ and S tier. S+ and S tiers mean that these characters are SIGNIFICANTLY stronger then the rest of the cast. The top 10 need to drop from S+/S/S- to A+ and then this might be one of the best games ever made when it comes to having string characters with competitive balance.

This is based on the overall character, not just the "best" variant. I think every tier except C is viable for a solo character main that can win a major. Winning a stacked tourney with solo Goro or Kitana is possible but extremely unlikely

I'll probably post my reasonings and overall thoughts for every character later on

oh look, a tournament player placed liu kang in bottom 3. And he has over 30 likes... wonder where these were when people were laughing at me for saying Liu Kang was bottom 5.

I'd trade Kung Lao with Kung Jin and drop Reptile a few pegs. Reptile isn't that good... Shinnok is stronger than Reptile.
