MKX: The end of character loyalty for some?

I don't know about the rest of you, but after watching Takeda and Mileena's gameplay the other day, along with other characters we've seen, I think it's going to be really, really hard this time around for me to be a character loyalist to the degree that I have been.

I somehow doubt that Kitana will be the only character that I put a lot of time into now. She will remain my main and there's no questioning that. However, I'm very interested in Takeda, Mileena, Goro, Jason, Kotal Kahn and newly leaked Predator. I'm sure more will be added (or removed) as time goes on and I'm looking forward to having multiple characters under my belt.

What about the rest of you that tend to stick to one character while lightly dabbling with others? Do you think you're going to be putting a little more time than you previously thought into other characters other than your main?

MKX is just making me really, really glad that I was never a character loyalist in the first place.

I also had an identity crisis on Injustice for a while, so I'm sure this game will put me through hell.

I solo'd Batman for Injustice's whole life but there are 3 characters that I want to play. 2 are yet to be "revealed" my NRS but we already know they are in.

I'm 100% confident I'll use each of these 3.

Choosing main in MKX is "painfull"-too much good choices.Its similiar when u must choose class/profession in RPG game,and then you realise fact,most of them are interesting(speaking from experience)Anyway,im trying to stay with Ferra/Torr..im trying..

I will likely still stay a loyalist but I think i will do a lot more than dabble with other characters. The amount of hours that is going to be put in this game....

Sub-Zero, Kung Jin, Kung Lao, Kenshi, Shinnok, Johnny, Takeda. I can't play them all because I'm already free in MK. Playing a lot of characters will guarantee that I will have no success until 2018. So I have to choose1. but I really don't want to switch mains too many times. It's gonna be hard.


Edit: The amount of hours put into this game is about to be ridiculous.

Althou im a hardcore character loyalist (surprise - Kenshi), i probably gonna play 1-2 more as second/third coz i really like Kotal and Shinnok.

...but obviously maining Kenshi, thats never gonna change.

Seriously though, I think I'll be using the solid team approach for MKX. Right now there's about 6 characters I could main.

Those switching characters in the majority are the ones whose their MK9 characters didn't make the cut, everyone in here who mained the same char in MK9 competitively is sticking to their guns with pride.

PL and F0xy are maining KL
MITDJT and Slips are maining Scorpion
Sonic Fox is maining Mileena
16bit is maining Kitana, same as Khaotik and Mr Mileena
Pig will main Kenshi if he is in the game, if not he will main Mileena, then Takeda

If Skarlet was in this game i would abandon all chars to main her again, why wouldn't i?
So no, i don't think its the end of character loyalist

I've been saying from the moment I laid eyes on him that I'm maining Kotal but, yeah, with Jason and Shinnok being revealed, I'm having my own little crisis as well.

I'm determined to stick it out with Kotal, it's just Jason and Shinnok seem far too good to pass up as well.

I've got to agree with everyone about how many hours are going to be put into this game. I put a lot of time into Injustice, but I have a feeling I'll put about 100x that much into MKX.

I am so unbelievably hype.

Sadly due to living circumstances, I won't be able to much time into the game like I have Injustice. Between work, and not wanting my daughter to see all the violence, itll be hard to play a lot. Because of these reasons, I believe ill just stick to one character and blow my weekends going hard in the lab.

Can't wait for this game though.

MK always makes bad-ass characters and their art style is the best out there. So you want to play lots of characters.

Easier to be a loyalist when 90% of the roster are lame fucks and only one of the remaining 10% fit your playstyle.

Scarred to go hard with a main since I fear nerfs. Guess I'll just have to see who feels right though. But I won't play more than 2 chars. I know myself enough to know that I don't have the time nor fortitude to do any more than one main and a back up. That's always been my plan.
