i'm sure you can spare some of your ego with all of us right king? Also its really not fair to have a "if we were to play these games literally right now top 5 list", not only are both games dead but it just discredits people's tournament placing overall through the game. there is no point in holding people accountable for MK9 placings after evo 2013. i would re work this top 5 list, make it so thats its INJ/MK9 gods without having it be today, because a lot of people stopped playing.

King literally the top 5 from SRK, you cannot discredit what KDZ has done in INJ. still one of ht last people to beat Sonic in tournament.

That's obvious, you think I don't know that? but you also have to see it from the other point of view, everyone else has leveled up and surpassed the previous top players. Sonicfox wasn't always this good at injustice was he? He wasn't making top 8's at all when he first started, but now he grew past a level way beyond us and he's the best injustice player in history.

So yeah, you could say some top players back in their prime are better then some top players now. But you could also say even if those previous top players continued to play the game, they would get mopped by the new top players that evolved the meta even further.

Gotta look at both sides bro. Either way it's all opinion, and all for fun. Nothing is set in stone

I mean me or Carl could go either way. When I say I'm the best it's fun shit talk But I think we're both gonna be up there no matter what. No matter how many MK9 tournaments there are in the future years, I'm putting money that me and Carl are both in that top 8 90% of the time

i dissagree from what i have watch a lot of players are off and some play like they do not care as much about winning.

on top of that player are not on point at punishing stuff

I definitely agree with you, a lot of people don't play the game anymore and I do see rusty play a lot.

But with that being said, I still feel like there are certain people who are playing better now then they ever were, and if they went back in time and played the "top players of the past" the people of the past would lose. Obviously it's not possible to do this so we'll never know, but this is all opinion based and for fun anyways

It's really hard to decide who will be best at MKX. Like there's a long list. The past MK players are all worthy candidates but you also can't forget the new IGAU players.
It's all fair game but I do predict GGA will be the best scene tho.

I'm going to give my MKX predictions

So first when the game first releases, people like Chris G, CDjr, 16Bit, DJT, and Perfect Legend are going to dominate.

But in the long term, years down the road, after the game has it's final patches and is fully evolved, I think the best of the best are going to be Sonicfox, DJT/MIT, 16bit, Reo, and Tyrant

These are my predictions

I don't see how Pig is not in the MK9 list. Him and 16 Bit are almost identical in tourney performance yet one is in and the other is not. Sonicfox being in there is questionable. Great player but I didn't see him do much outside of EC majors.

I would like to say this

with the "Smash" way... King def. goes on both lists.

With MK9 overall... I'd say that Pig would replace King, and CDjr would replace Sonic Fox.

The smash version is probably right with what you have

the overall version you could rotate about 3 or 4 guys in there and the list would make sense. KDZ, Theo, SonicFox, King, (rotating 5 person between Pig, Bit, Jupiter, DJT).
There just wasn't much traveling among the good players for Injustice.

I mean... overall you're talking about really good players. They all seemed to hit their own personal strides at different times. MK had an abundance of awesome players.

Injustice is pretty iffy. He didnt really prove anything at the beginning. But in the end he proved that he is good at the game and did it with The Cat and her many losing MUs

If you read the last sentence of the OP, this is more so about the best at this present moment in time (past year or two) and not so much about the lifespan of the game as a whole. If there was a tournament tomorrow, I would bet my chances on Sonicfox placing higher than Pig

16bit is on the MK9 list. In injustice, I think the 5 listed would have a better chance of making top 8 then him
