I'm interested in Warlock Quan who wants to speculate with me?
If my memory serves me correctly warlock adds db2 which is what looks like a full screen grab, but its blockable, EXdb2 is the full screen sword stab. It adds b2 which is that kick through the portal he does, and adds 1+3? At the end of his 21? String which slams them into the floor :/ 1+3 could be mb'd to throw them through a portal and continue the combo. That all I remember of warlock
Bare in mind last I played him was shortly after his reveal so things could have been changed

That's a thing, should us loyalists continue chanting woolay in the name of Quan or should we choose something from the new dialogue of MKX?

I wonder if we will ever see any of Quan's three hoes/ assassins in the story or if they all died.

The Netherealm war story arc sounds like the perfect time for them to show back up but the 25 year jump skipped it :(

That's a bummer tbh. They basically kicked main MK9 sequel hook off-screen.

Guys I'm freaking excited as Hell to be here again. I'm so ready to work on our boy again. For those of you that don't know my previous work on Quan in MK9, here's one of my technical breakdowns which is also like my "love letter" to the character (the intro to the video).

This is "The Math Of Quan part 2 (100% Rune Traps)"
(Quadruple Rune Trap combo at the end at 11:15)

Just a couple more months... SUPER excited to be teaming up with @STB Shujinkydink again. We recently speculated on Warlock Variation (portals), wondering how it will be implemented, and I'm wondering if it will be his variation with access to higher than most damaging combos. Maybe the portal extensions and EX versions could cause him to break 50% easily. What do you guys think?

What you can expect from me:
If all goes well from the beginning, I'm planning on doing immediate measurements on his normals and making an easy to follow guide to punishing with him in reliable ways. For example, what I did with Catwoman early on here:

and here in a very detailed but very user-friendly of all execution skill levels:
http://testyourmight.com/threads/the-complete-combo-guide-to-catwoman.34372/

I want to do all of this an more. Here's to hoping Quan is a rich treasure chest of interesting ideas for everyone. We're coming home.

Can we admit that Quan Chi's voice is getting better and better every time we see him talk in one of these streams?

I want him to read me a bedtime story.

@ENDeverMORE @PND_Ketchup did you guys get a chance to play sorcerer at all? how did the buffs work? does it follow him around or do I have to stay in one spot for it to affect me? same with debuff
Did you not read my writeup on that variation? ;.;

I played Quan for a good few hours in London back in October. You stand in the aura to receive the buff, and the opponent must be standing in the debuff aura to take the effect. Unfortunately the preview build had no options menu, so I couldn't really get any useful setups out of the armour. I'm sure he'll have some insane setups when you can turn release check off though.

Also, he gets the armour if he's airborne too. So long as you're above the armour spell.

When you cast a spell you have to stay in the circle for it to work. The spell circle itself doesn't move at all. The instant you leave the circle it is lost. For example, if you're doing the armor buff it's always active for one hit while standing in the circle, and when you're hit it regenerates in a few seconds, but the second you step outside the circle the armor effect on you is lost. You can step back inside the spell circle also. Same with the chip spell.

Now his debuff spell, the DoT you have to be inside the circle to hit them with it as well, but if you step outside of the circle the effect still last it's time on the opponent for a second. So if you land a DoT rune or fireball from your spell circle, for example the effect while still be on them until the duration has ran its course.

I see it being more of a way to stop the opponent from poking out of your knockdown setup, so the armour will serve an aggressive purpose, rather than a defensive one.
Which would you say is the best spell? I would think the armor one because the knockdown pressure+armor spell can leave you at advantage in many situations. Against some opponents it forces them to try to predict what you will do and defend before they can try to attack 100% of the time. Same as in the corner with pressure.
