Also, Kenshi "betrayed" the Red Dragon? Either he's still a Special Forces agent that was sent in undercover to try and infiltrate the Red Dragon or the Alternate Timeline has Kenshi as a Red Dragon Member that goes rogue or something.

Either way, oh my fucking god, the hype is so real right now.

I'm like 85% sure this is actually the case.

Boon made a point on multiple occasions to mention that this game will have "offspring" and relatives as characters and so far we only have one legitimate reveal with Cassie, and this kid who is referenced as Kenshi's "boy".

He's gonna be in and he's gonnna have TK, seeing as Boon dropped that pic with the mocap guy striking Kenshi's TK pose.

I also believe this is the case, as soon as I read those 4 pages I thought: "Kenshi's son confirmed". I mean, think about it, there's just too many signs:

- That scene happens soon after MK9, Kenshi has his MK9 outfit, and since MKX's story goes 25 years into the future, the kid will grow.

- Why would a kid, potentially Kenshi's son be introduced on a MKX prequel? It could be for other reasons but given the circumstances, I'm inclined to believe it's because he will be a playable character.

- Ed Boon's Kenshi tweet was a little too obvious, wouldn't it be because he knew we wouldn't think it's someone other than Kenshi?

- Like Pterodactyl said, Boon spoke in a lot of interviews about how we would see another generation of fighters with some getting older and some having "offspring", and I agree it didn't sound like Cassie was the only case.

The Kid, Kenshi's son? dies and Kenshi seeks revenge in MKX maybe? And we get a recap of his hunt in the game.

I dont think we get straight up Children of a all the new Characters.
Depending at what time the Kid dies (in my scenario) they could also bring the Kid (a bit grown up) as a undead Character of Quan Chi's army back.

Actually when you put it this way - it makes sense. Thou i would love to have "father" Kenshi as playable character still. Not to mention this makes me even more curious who is the mysteries wife/mother. :)

Kid is definitely either Takeda or Forest Fox. Looks like Scorpion saved him and 'adopted' him. most likely takeda since in the second comic it mentions him just starting to learn the ways of the shirai ryu. And Forest Fox seems already fairly grown by the third comic. Doubt he'll play as Kenshi Jr unless he is somehow blinded and infused with his ancestor's powers in the exact same way as Kenshi.

My theory as well, no way that little kid is Forest Fox lol. Kid looks white or asian possibly, Fox is clearly black. That's one, two the point you made of Takeda learning the ways of Shirai Ryu and lastly I was just thinking that myself, if that is kenshi's kid, what would be the chances of him growing up blind or becoming blind just like Kenshi? lol with similar powers too you know?

Yep, forgot what Fox's concept art looked like. Definitely Takeda. Feel like that kid has a huge chance of being in the game, especially being an apparent descendant of Kenshi, with Ed mentioning we'd get a couple, and Cassie's the only one shown so far. As for Forest Fox.. He might just be a comic character, but I hope not.

Also those of you that pre ordered the comics.. Might want to cancel and wait. Google play store comic has 55 pages, comixology has 27 pages and dccomics has 40 pages.. I mean, surely they'd all be the same.. but you never know.

OR... Kenshi is the one who dies and the kid seeks revenge?? I do think it's a stretch for the kid to also become blind, but then again, who said he'll be blind?? We're just presuming that because in the motion capture the guy was in Kenshi pose, as in, not looking directly at the opponent, but is that concrete proof that he is blind?
As for the powers, I feel all that is necessary is Kenshi's sword.
However, I also could see the possibility that Kenshi father is playable in the game, and that the kid is too, but not as a Kenshi substitute. This seems to be what many people are inclined to believe, and I also believe it could be the case.

Who the fuck is firing those arrows? Can you imagine those techno/cyborg dudes in motorbikes and leather getups and shit firing a goddamn bow while riding?
