I say that my character is low tier and is ass 24/7. Just because you interpret that as an excuse is not on me.

Yeah but its generalizing low tier heroes as hindering the characters progress in anyway by simply blaming the character. Which I am simply trying to establish is not the case.
There are always exceptions man. Not to speak for him but I doubt he literally meant "everyone who mains a low tier character blames said character for their shortcomings." But you and I both know that many who wouldn't even do well with a top tier character blame their main for not performing well.
And I am trying to find proof at all that it is even a viable statement. It makes us look bad when it is the entire community blames their character. I just don't see it as a viable solution to why shitters are shitters.
I think most representatives of "shitters" would be getting the same result if not worse if they mained Aquaman ZOD BG and sometimes bad players /avg hide behind the crutch of bad characters and even if they mained top tier wouldn't have the fundamentals or know-how to properly use them as the top tier players would/are. Skill separates all

He said that he knew a few guys like myself who don't understand the "know how" of a top character. That solid and advantage almost makes no sense if it were. That players themselves cannot understand how to utilize broken. And I know I am one of em lol. Idk what to do with good.

But would that same player crutched at the level of skill complain about aquaman if he lost the same exact way he would if he lost with cyborg. Like I said you can't hide a bad player behind a bad character, its pretty obvious. He should do bad regardless. Give some of the guys only relying on top tiers that do even just "well" someone like scorpion ares or cyborg and now we have something interesting. ;] Those with the skill should actually still do well, while the ones hiding behind "broken" that don't fully understand how to utilize every tool, spacing, etc etc etc, would probably get bodied.

I can't speak for most of them but since my first FG which was Super. I started out with Adon, getting into the game I said fuck that dude and wound up with thawk (ass at the time). MK9 learning the game with Kabal and Nightwolf, ended with Rain and Cyber. Injustice Aquaman and it just was so boring, ended with ares. It just gets boring to some, like I said it may just be a thing some people have. I picked ares because I looked at the character select screen and saw this bad ass black figure and proceeded to training mode. After the week I knew I found my character. In MK Rain was my fav of the series, and Cyber I now prefer over him just because of play style. Idk you feel a certain freedom with low tier characters. I dropped Ultra because I actually can't do as well at my regionals with him now that hes buffed. It's just a thing. The struggle.
When you say "freedom" do you mean less expectations and pressure?
No freedom in gameplay. Like I feel like I can do more with Ares than I can Aquaman. I don't feel confined to 1 option, or 1 play style.
Did anybody say Ares wasn't a shitter? Nobody's argument was that these characters aren't low tier. My argument was even though they are, many of their match-ups are kind of unknown and public perception just follows the consensus (Joker is a great example, actually). As far as Jack's argument, he didn't say these characters aren't bad, but that many guys are probably not good enough to have good results with great characters, yet play the "I play a shitter" excuse to justify shortcomings, which is quite true.
But my example was those who do play these characters, that actually do well or ok by some standards do not use the character to justify their placings. My rant was exactly that.

Remember when everyone posted for a whole year that GA was top tier s+++ broken character, and we "just didn't know?", while making him lose in every single match up chart they made?
I actually think it would be the other way around. Most of the time if someone is complaining about a character they are complaining that character is S tier aka "broken". I think that is much more common then someone complaining that there character is "low tier".

I remember in the tourneys near the start of the game the commentators actually went on and on about how chris g was doing well with green arrow who was in fact shit. I remember none of this s++ talk you speak of. They said he made a shit character look good haha. although aquaman was such a shit match up he had to use black adam so i guess he is a bit of a cop out on that part...
