Mario can up-tilt Link to juggle him until 40%... SOOO MANY COMBOS
But really, I'm not hating on the game, just saying it's not as competitive as Melee and Project M. Is that really so controversial to say?? It's pretty much accepted that while you can play Brawl competitively, it's just not on the level of Melee or Project M. It's weird people have to try to call me out if I simply apply the same thing to the new game- when it clearly doesn't have the technicality Melee or Project M has.
You can not declare a game less competitive than another this early in. Remember Injustice around this time? There were Deathstrokes and full screen zoning from Aquaman and no one was going in. Now the game plays much faster and much more in your face and Aquaman is more known for his trident rush than his trait + zoning strategies.
This is a new and different game than Project M and Melee. Saying the others are MORE competitive is like setting the final limit of what this game is capable of achieving in its meta within its opening weeks. Folks are just now finding chain grabs with Up Drill Kick while fast falling with Sheik, and more chain stuff is being tested and worked on from the Smashboards community.
You're selling the game short before its even been out long. Its different, the way you stack up hits in combos requires new footsies and usage of systems. Folks have stuff, but its not going to be the stuff that came from Melee or was built up from that in Project M. I play BOTH of those and love them to death, but I can see there is serious potential for what I am playing currently in Smash 4.
This is a NEW smash...the combos are also new and the tech is still being found. Spend more time playing in the lab is the only thing I can tell you. Folks are flooding Smashboards with tech daily found in the lab because they accept they need to learn a new game and that they can't just build off of old tricks and combos in this title. You should do the same.
