Mario can up-tilt Link to juggle him until 40%... SOOO MANY COMBOS

But really, I'm not hating on the game, just saying it's not as competitive as Melee and Project M. Is that really so controversial to say?? It's pretty much accepted that while you can play Brawl competitively, it's just not on the level of Melee or Project M. It's weird people have to try to call me out if I simply apply the same thing to the new game- when it clearly doesn't have the technicality Melee or Project M has.
I can agree to a certain point, but you also have to remember that this game is still only a few weeks old. It still has Similac on its ports. Once the Wii U version drops, it'll probably be more competitive.

You can not declare a game less competitive than another this early in. Remember Injustice around this time? There were Deathstrokes and full screen zoning from Aquaman and no one was going in. Now the game plays much faster and much more in your face and Aquaman is more known for his trident rush than his trait + zoning strategies.

This is a new and different game than Project M and Melee. Saying the others are MORE competitive is like setting the final limit of what this game is capable of achieving in its meta within its opening weeks. Folks are just now finding chain grabs with Up Drill Kick while fast falling with Sheik, and more chain stuff is being tested and worked on from the Smashboards community.

You're selling the game short before its even been out long. Its different, the way you stack up hits in combos requires new footsies and usage of systems. Folks have stuff, but its not going to be the stuff that came from Melee or was built up from that in Project M. I play BOTH of those and love them to death, but I can see there is serious potential for what I am playing currently in Smash 4.

This is a NEW smash...the combos are also new and the tech is still being found. Spend more time playing in the lab is the only thing I can tell you. Folks are flooding Smashboards with tech daily found in the lab because they accept they need to learn a new game and that they can't just build off of old tricks and combos in this title. You should do the same.

Mann Lucario is legit as FUCK. Main him in Brawl and had no idea they buff the living heck out of all his specials.

This is weird to read...
I play Mega man/Rosalina/Pacman and a little Ganon and with all 4 I can combo you at any percent, sometimes into death.

Also, while we can't say how competitive the game will ultimately be, it's already gotten a fair number of movement ATs for how little it's been out.

That said I will say this: Rush coil sometimes makes it feel like the opponents have no combos. <3 my combo breaker.

Not only that but given how his stuff already worked off of percent coupled with the new fury factor that allows you to knock folks further based on the damage you've taken he has pretty much rocketed through the usability rankings. Feels like Lucario, Yoshi and Link got the most buffs and are the most improved so far. Not to downplay the rest of the cast that got buffs, but man those 3 feel a step beyond what they were before.

Zelda, Ness, Mario, Bowser and DK all got super buffs too.

Yes and no. She is pretty godlike, but the more I play against her the more I realize she has issues.

Then again, I may say that because Megaman UpBs out of pretty much all of her kill moves.
Her grab is really good. What problems does she have? She seems pretty solid all around. Maybe a more zoning type character would be better?

Okay I just found a SINGLE move in custom moves so broken it could get them thrown out of tournies.

Mario's Gust Wind. It replaces his regular cape reflect and allows him to attack with a light puff of wind as a short range projectile to blow enemies back.
That is unless you point blank it.

A forward smash from Mario knocks folks about 6 Punching bags away from him. THE GUST WIND CAPE POINT BLANK SENDS THEM AROUND 13 PUNCHING BAG LENGTHS!

Yup. This is what I've been using when customs have been allowed. It's kinda redic.

Although, it is a fixed knockback, while f-smash isn't.

Well, she has a good amount of ending lag on her ground moves, so spotdodges really hurt her.

Her kill options are also somewhat limited, especially on the ground. Side B not being a kill move anymore really hurts her. This means she will almost always be forced to take to the air to kill you.

She gets outzoned hard by some characters as well.

Characters that can consistently avoid her kill moves will give her issues since the rage mechanic will allow them to kill her earlier (She is super light as well).

I know Megaman can give her hell, and Rosalina does pretty well against her too since she can control so much of the screen at once.

EDIT:

Also someone should give me games.

Yeah GGs. Hopefully next time we play it'll run smoother. Not sure why but seems like my connection's wonky today.

That said yeah, Megaman's a dick. I'll pull out my Pacman next time we play as well.

Anyway GGs! Your Ness is a monster. You were really good at punishing my roll habits too.
