Or take some tips from the TO's who actually now what the fuck is up when it comes to running a successful FG major. Funny how it was mainly the fighting games that had the biggest issues.

Oh boo hoo SC2 got delayed. They can miss 20 minutes of a game and the bastards are still building their base up. We missed over half the fucking matches we were supposed to see. Some of which were supposedly hype as fuck. Now we have to hope they pop up on YT or in the archives.

I am to blame for this. I convinced @n-megabytes to make the journey out to the U.S. for MLG and EVO. Going off my experience at MLG Dallas 2012, I was 100% confident that he'd have a blast at Anaheim.

It seems I misinformed him and he paid an unfair price for it. Had I known that anything like this was going to happen, I wouldn't have encouraged him to go to this event. I can't even begin to comprehend how he must feel right now.

Megabytes, if you're reading this thread, I must express a public apology to you. I know you worked a godlike amount of overtime in Australia just so you could make the journey and the last thing I wanted was for all that to go to waste. I feel guilty for this, and rightly so.

As someone who had the pleasure of attending CEO 2013, I have no doubt that you will make this year's event just as godlike, if not better.

That makes me feel just oh so better. I'll gladly fly and pay to see any other major that has it's roots in the FGC. Not just one that hosts a KI/IGAU tournament maybe once a year as a side show. We get it, we aren't the popular genre. We are already the black sheep of the gaming world, don't need anymore flack than already given.

I've followed MLG for years, before I got into fighting games, all I played was FPS's and MOBA's. Some questionable shit over the years.

But I digress. Thank God CEO and EVO are almost here.

You watch MLG so you know Smash also used to be a staple and they even got shat on in the past in spite of their size. As for this year the Smash stream was godly and far better than MK9, King of Fighters or Soul Calibur last year because they didn't insert commercial breaks every match or every two matches. I saw 6-8 matches straight before a commercial interruption. So fighting games didn't have a bad experience at MLG yesterday, Injustice did.

MLG has their priorities to make money first and foremost through games that attract people so they aren't great if you want to feel as if they are fully committed to building communities; but they aren't unreasonable. Just understand where they are coming from while you are standing up for yourself. The only priority MLG needs to value over the community is how they generate advertising revenue. Other than that you should be treated just like any other guest who has spent time and money to be at their venue. Don't get too worked up over their enthusiasm waning because their expectations weren't met.

Well, to be fair, Injustice had only been out for 2-3 months at the last CEO, so that kinda helped with the large turnout. We are now in the 14th month of its lifespan.

Although with the effects of the previous patch combined with the hotfixes that removed certain game-breaking glitches, numbers for Injustice tournaments prospered until around the time our game was announced as part of MLG's line-up. The game was just beginning to garner more love and support from numerous parts of the FGC, so seeing this set of unfortunate events provides quite a setback.

Right now, CEO and EVO are our best chances to recover from this, so to all reading this, if you are considering going to either of these events, DO IT. As someone who attended both, I can tell you that you will walk away with no regrets. With what just occurred, it is extremely important that we band together to bounce back and continue to give Injustice the support that it deserves.

CEO pre-regs end tomorrow, so you guys better make haste if you still intend to go.

Worst tournament ever. I was told MLG would be the best tournament to go to but we were treated terribly. I also got bodied and went 0-2 so that didn't help either.

Wow! I just watched a match on youtube. Why are the commentators in the hallway and not on stage like it was MK9? Looks like it's hosted in a warehouse.

The 2 MLG events I went to were super nice. I don't understand why they are seemingly treating injustice bad. The atmosphere alone takes your breathe away. Also I noticed that someone said they couldn't watch their friend play? I honestly hate having people in my grill while I'm playing my opponent. During the PL slayer match I thought the people were way too close imo. At Columbus and Anaheim when I went, people had to sit behind the ropes if they weren't playing.

Also fyi CoD has coaches and subs that can participate in team talk I believe. That's why it seems like they are super crowded.

Here's my two cents on the whole MLG situation:

I feel as though this tournament has been a slap in the face to all of us whether we went or not. Especially to those who have spent money and time away from their families and traveled thousands of miles just to go and get treated like dog shit. This is UNACCEPTABLE especially by a company as big as MLG. My condolences go out to any and everyone that attended this shitstorm and I hope that it doesn't turn you away from going to future events.

Ok, everyone hold your horses. Just like a specific person is not responsible for the entire FGC or an entire FGC game's community, MLG is a huge org. with a big chain of command and a lot of people involved.

Although I know everyone is angry, people need to calm down and avoid blaming and bashing the entire MLG organization over what happened yesterday. For those of you who are new, fighting games have always been treated well in the past, and it doesn't male sense to burn MLG to the ground over one uncharacteristically bad experience.

What DOES make sense is to find out who at MLG was directly responsible, figure out what happened here, communicate directly and make sure issues are corrected and it doesn't happen again. Also to make sure that today 's tourney is as good as it can be. That is the difference between being a bunch of crybabies and a community that demands respect.

THEN if they refuse to acknowledge or address the issues once everything calms down and we have a chance to talk about it, that's when you say "forget it". But people who weren't even there are jumping to conclusions about the entire organization and trying to burn bridges for tournaments they don't go to. That's like someone who doesn't play NRS games deciding that the entire community is worthless because they talked to someone who had a bad experience once (e.g., Floe).

We live in a small world and we need everyone to work together to make it better -- that means making use if resources if we can and learning to deal with problems directly before we give up.

We are but a mere fraction of the turnout. It'd be read probably, but I don't think they'd do anything serious with it. By this time next year there will be MKX majors and locals left and right. They'll have to do something awesome to get the attention for it.
