MKX recycled animations

Shark Tank

I don't actually play these games
It's pretty common to recycle things in most games sequels especially with the high cost of making games nowadays. 3dFGs do this, older sprite games did this.

Ladybug animations were nothing like sinestro lol. I guess any arachnid move is "like sinestro"?

Anyway, I would not be surprised if there was a few placeholder sounds or animations still in this version. If you look at the E3 reveal for MK9 in 2010 they had a few animations still in the game from MKvDC.

Living Corpse

Champion
I see more Injustice Scorpion than anything, he lights himself on fire and he had a demon grab Sub-Zero from a opening in the ground that goes to hell.

AeroGrunt

Stay Puft
At one point the big guy also does Lex's Corps Charge animation. Also, no reason for this thread to be closed, hes just pointing out that some of the animations are reused from Injustice.

16 Bit

Mash d+1~Cat Claws
Elder God
NetherRealm Studios
There's no recycled animations. Look closer. There's some common fighting game tropes in there like shoulder barges but no recycled animations.

So, we're expecting 60+ characters to not share a single bit of similar moves/strings when each character has 6+ strings and several specials?

Yes. Use something like Euphoria engine or something similar to make each character have it's own AI and adapt to situational awareness of location around stage, space between kombatants etc.

For example look at the monster's "Bane charge" closer. He uses the rider as a weapon for the first hit then places her under his arm like a football and charges forward. It's not Bane's charge.
you're just making the rational among us more jealous that you get to see all this nuance all the time )=

What? Does this mean that it'll have different normals/strings in every situation with no uniformity?
