For the record, I've seen claims of Zod being Hawkgirl's worst MU, and I don't buy it. This is coming from a guy who struggles to admit Hawkgirl wins any match-up

There are characters that I am lead to believe he goes even with, so I'm not sure this is a Kabal situation just yet.

I can't see HG ZOD being anything better than 7-3 ZOD

Zod is good, but his mixups are definitely not the strongest and his wakeups can be stuffed with the right timing. Zod is tied at 4 with Flash for me.

But who cares about Zod, fuck Sinestro amirite?

Zod's hella good, like, Hella good.

But generally top tiers in this game I don't find "Super Broke" or "God I can't play this game".
I've said multiple times I'd rather face Aquaman, MMH, Zod etc than stuff like 3s Chun Li or ST O. Sagat any day of the week. A broken character is a character that effectively makes half of the cast unplayable, that has 7-3 & 6-4's across the board and only a few characters have the absolute power to even compete with that character.

Zod and MMH? They potentially only have 2 or 3 losing MU's, but they don't make half the cast unplayable. They both have 5-5's and managable 6-4s
Maybe I'm just bias in the fact that I think Lobo goes 5-5 with almost everyone including MMH,Aquaman, and possibly Zod.

This. Zod is ridiculously good and we all know it. The only nerf off hand that I think he seriously needs though is his trait... Why in gods name does it recover so fast?

No. Some characters (with current tech) are considered mid-tier at best, or low tier at best. He's saying that Zod (with current tech/MUs) could reasonably be considered #1 in the game at the highest (best reasonable estimate) and probably Top 3/4 at the worst (lowest reasonable estimate).

Whether you agree or not, is a different story

I don't think anyone is arguing Zod is a strong character. But if he is number 5 or number 1 it doesn't matter. He is what he is.

All non Zod players can do is learn the MU.

Hit up Zod players and learn.
Hit the lab and learn.
Watch other people play against them on YouTube/twitch and learn.

If the community FULLY explores all aspects of the MU and comes to the conclusion that he's broke, then we can talk.

But right now, I don't think we are anywhere close to that. I'll just flat out say it. 99.9 percent of the people who say they have "explored it and know he is broke" are full of shit. Go do more work and get back to me 6 months from now.

You all may be right, he may be broke. But we don't know that yet. We all of us have not done enough work.

I guarantee it.

It took me 3-5 mins in the lab to find out how when I was prepping for the mirror vs Dave for kit

Low laser I guess could be reacted to since it's just shy of 30 frames. So I could block high and watch for the start up animation but what if you cancel? How is that not a guess? I'm not sure what I'm missing.

I havent played the highest level of zod bit it seems like DD does just fine. He hits trait,
you hit trait and no bs exists other than zoning.(which you shoulder right through)
I would definelty like to play a top zod though before i hang my hat on this.
