Update: Blazblue 47 Injustice 41. Come on guys. We had 130+ at NEC and can't even get 60 preregged for SCR? We always blow up Tri State area for low Injustice numbers, but they represented when it really mattered. West Coast, show you can do the same. Whether it's 30 or 300, I will do my best to support this community at every opportunity.

Heads up!
Isn't Injustice at 10am on a Friday? This makes it really tough for a person traveling via plane to make it. They would need to get there Thursday to compete.

Valle has entertained the idea of 2 day pools if we get enough people. He did mention that there would be East Coast vs. East Coast earlier than expected, but most of us are perfectly fine with it as long as we can compete.

I apologize that I have class on a Friday night and can't make it to the pools which would require a 10 hour flight to the other side of the country that morning...so yes, there is my excuse.

Nah, that ain't right - the player base for SF, Marvel, anime games, smash always tries to come and compete when possible. I think Injustice is one of the few scenes where there are some people complaining about lack of representation and then complain when asked to represent.

Injustice: "someone represent so i can sit on my ass and complain about lack of representation"

For the people that actually have jobs or a career, taking off an extra day just because the pools are on Friday morning could be a big issue for some. Seems extremely stupid to have them on Friday morning. MLG pulled this for Dallas and their excuse is that they are MLG and well they do what they want, but a community run event?

WTF? Having School and work Friday is a pretty legit excuse, Friday morning pools are ass. With tat said though I know a ton of people who don't ahve these problems not registering because of 64 man cap and that is the most bitchmade thing I've heard.

I have a job, and I go to school. I take off weeks in advance for tournaments I want to attend. If you don't wish to do the same, or can't, it's your prerogative, but please don't blame the TOs for this. Street Fighter starts at 10 am as well. It's not like they're ONLY doing this to the Injustice community.

It's not me, I can take an extra day off if needed but maybe some people can't. I just don't understand why not start it later, it doesn't have nearly as many entrants as SF. If the tournaments here on the EC started on friday morning I bet you the numbers would be way lower. I'm not surprised the pre regs are low.

Yeah, but it's kind of an East Coast thing to start late Friday evening(usually team tournaments) or 10 am on Saturday. SCR was quite early last year as well.

on another note, since it looks like there will be room i might go :D (if i cant afford a place to sleep and a new controller by then lol)

This makes it partly on the TOs. Sure it's great to feature lots of games and attract a huge audience. When deciding this however, you need to factor in scheduling and location.

At the end of the day guys, this is a hobby. Not wanting to miss out on a whole days pay or an important lesson in class always trumps spending monies to go to tournament. With pools on Friday, I wouldn't go either.

No one should be holding it against anyone who can't make it because of school or work or whatever on Friday. It already takes a lot of time and money to travel and it's understandable if you can't take an extra day out of your schedule. We've all got other stuff going in our lives

However, for all of you who know you're going and haven' pre-reg'd yet - no excuses. You need to get on it now and get on your friends and teammates about it too. I registered the day it opened, but I know there are some AZ guys who are planning on going but haven't registered yet so I'll be nagging them about it this week. Any of you other West Coast guys should be doing the same. We've only got a few majors a year near us, so if you live in SoCal or Norcal or Nevada or anywhere around there and you haven't thought about this you should start making plans now. Think about how much it's going to suck if you don't register and then it hits a cap.

And for anyone who's thinking about going but hasn't been to SCR or a major before, I highly recommend it. Every big tournament is a blast, you'll have a lot of fun, level up hella, and meet a ton of cool people, and SCR last year was the best major I've been to. Alex Valle and Compton run a tight ship so everything'll run smoothly and they'll be a ton of great competition there.

I think if people are going to take it a step further and non stop complain/ bash SCR, they need to go.
I don't agree with it or like it, but I'm not going to keep voicing my dislike and complain to valle or bash on SCR because I'm done with traveling until I'm a nurse.

For those that talk down on its decision, prove it by going.
Or for those who want to go and can, but the schedule is messing their plans up, if enough people spoke up and were serious about going 100%, changes may be made.

and yeah, as 7L stated, school is a lot harder to take off without a proper excuse.
