Tom, I'd really love to see you make videos to explain this further, the way you used to do with Sub-Zero. I say this because you bring this point up in every post but very rarely elaborate.Correct..
his offense is total risk and only works if the user is very good at reading the opponent. His offense is a product of the player and not the character. This dumb notion that he can "just d1~mb trident you to death, so dumb" is false and the biggest reason why other Aquaman players just dont even come close to understanding what they should.
I genuinely want to know, because I don't find Aquaman to be that risky. I mean if you consider his offense risky, then you could say the same for Batman who has holes in almost every string (the second hit of B11 whiffs occasionally, the second hit of 223 is a high and whiffs on crouch block, 113 is interruptable, the final hit of 112 can whiff, etc...). All these strings are full combo punishable by every character in the game. Yes, his trait covers for some of these holes but then again, so does Aquaman's trait. I bring this up because of your conversation with FOREVER KING regarding Aquaman and Batman. Keep in mind, I do think Batman is very good, but I think you're overselling how risky Aquaman is, especially compared to most characters in the game. MB trident is punishable? Well, most characters struggle to do so, and it still does 15% chip and 27% on hit! For one special move. The fact that it's punishable by some characters doesn't mean it's not a ridiculous move. Otherwise Kung Lao's spin would be considered not good.
