The injustice Hate Mail Thread (Foul language)

That's baaaaane

This guy had an absolutely ridiculous ranked record. And he was pretty bad. Or maybe hes never fought bane? Who knows. I've noticed I get a TON more ragequits and hate mail as bane. It is pretty interesting. Not nearly as many people ragequit on any other character that I've used. But since I've picked him up? Probably 1 in 3 people either rage quit or send hate mail. p.s. Apparently my camera isn't that great.

Well his first problem was picking Hal Jordan when the infinitely more powerful John Stewart was available

My first time playing in a couple weeks reminded me why I said the IGAU community sucks. Apparently the patch increased the saltiness of the community. This was all within 1.5 hours on the same night.

MAINTAIN5
I believe this person is in the top 10 of the non-ranked leaderboards on XBL. I used Hawkgirl and first beat his Aquaman fairly easily and then he went hidden cursor and chose Deathstroke after I chose Hawkgirl again. I barely won and he started complaining on the mic that Hawkgirl needs to be nerfed because she does too much damage in the corner. I left because I don't give counter-pickers a rematch. I sent him a message afterwards.

Me: "Hey kid, pick Sinestro if you want to counter-pick Hawkgirl. Practicing would be a better idea though, but now I know how you earned all of your wins."

MR INCOGNITO 22
I played this guy in 6 matches. I beat his Zod twice with Hawkgirl. I was in a party with friends at first, but one told me this dude loves complaining, so I left my party and plugged in my mic after he switched his character. I beat his Aquaman twice with Lex, during which he complained that Lex is OP because of his trait and that only [ban incoming] use Lex. I then beat his Superman with Cyborg. He hid the cursor and beat my Cyborg with Aquaman with convenient lag spikes. He of course started talking trash and ran after his one win.

Me: "If I'm a scrub, then what does that make you since I beat you 5 times in 6 matches?"

The funny part is that I used combos, even with Cyborg. I kept dropping combos during the match I lost due to well timed lag spikes.

hYBRYDcOBRA
I chose Lex and he hid his cursor and chose Superman. He of course tried to do laser eye the whole game and I beat him primarily using Lex's j3. I left afterwards because I received an invite for a KOTH from my friends, although I would've left anyway since this dude tried to counter-pick and failed horribly at it.

Me: "I received a KOTH invite from friends. You're garbage anyway since you lost after counter-picking and using a character that has an 8-2 advantage against Lex."

Me: "I know what "whining" is, but not "whineing." Capitalize the first word in your sentence and Noob Saibot since that is a proper noun. Have your mother proofread your hate mail before sending it next time kid."

I ran into him again later and he told me that he was going to block me for being a pussy before he declined.

Lil Willie 69
This scrub chose the Watchtower and just tried to do Lantern's Might from full screen most of the match and I beaned him with the floating drones. He complained about items doing too much damage (I agree BTW). I asked him if he wanted to turn them off and went to the select screen. He just kept bitching and chose Watchtower again without turning off items. I whooped his ass without using items, but he complained about Cyborg being OP because I did Target Acquired launchers with Cyborg to combo him. I left after I told him to practice after he called me a spamming [ban incoming].

Somewhat related but when you fight someone who you beat horribly...and they say good games and junk is refreshing.

Perdition the fact that he picked Joker and was doing j2 like a Batman player shows the amount of integrity they have. :joker:

Been a while since I've had a nice good rage exchange but today's was pretty good. I played someone who I meet on ranked infrequently but regularly by the name of Wheres Gravity. If memory serves, he usually plays Black Adam and beats me good because I'm free to j2 but today was Flash and that is a much more favourable match for Zod and more comfortable for myself. It goes well but I by no means body him, at most I was left with 60% of my second bar but as the last punch of my MB Charge lands the image cuts clean and I get the faithful "Your Opponent Has Left The Match" and I know its time to throw a rock at the hornet's nest.

I lead in with nothing too offensive but enough to provoke a response from someone salty, "C'mon man, I've lost worse than that". Gravity responds with a comment about me "...just using bf2" and I know this is going to be worth my time. I retort with an easily seen coming "Next time try stopping me" and he springs back with an uninspired message about "l 2 p" or something similar. "Why should I? I keep winning" is my next reply and he doubts with "sure u r". His responses are getting shorter so I know this is coming to a close and my last message is a slightly restrained "Well I guess your going to have to take the fact that I won for it" and I let him end it with an unsatisfyingly bland "sure" because I know the well has run dry by now.

Anyway that my story, good day today.

I barely lost to this guy's Black Adam and he started talking smack. He wanted to choose a new character and he hid his cursor and waited until I chose Hawkgirl before he finally chose Cyborg. He was player 1 and he chose Wayne Manor (Great Hall) without turning off items and didn't ask me to do so.

I beat him very badly, only taking chip damage in the process. This loser didn't know how to do iaNB, so I punished the recovery with every item on that map except one of the suits of armor. He sent me a whiny message before running after that ass kicking.

Me: "What did I use that was unfair?"

Me: "Items are an integral part of the game. As long as one isn't using external means to cheat, one should do whatever it takes to win."

Me: "You made no effort to turn off items, so cry me a river. Are you mad that I beat your crappy Cyborg with Hawkgirl, who is at at least a 2-8 disadvantage against Cyborg?"

Me: "Please break your Injustice disc since you'll always suck at the game since you'd rather whine about a game mechanic instead of adapting. I hope I didn't make you cry little scrub."

Please note the times in the last two messages. This kid needs to find something to do with his life if he was so angry that he wrote me a hate mail an hour after the match.

Y'see. This thread is to show how people get so salty.
But what's worse than them, is when the winner responds to them with a snarky comment, or acting all high and mighty.
If that's the case, you're both in the same boat.

Unless you're having an actual debate. You're both just having a dick-waving contest.

Salty players make fighting games fun. Its just awesome to piss someone off just because you annoyed them on the game. I always stay humble. What makes me most curious is when I send a message to someone complimenting them and saying GG, yet rage still follows. I seriously just play this to have fun.

And most times I have a very good time in losing sets. I just want games that aren't ranked or KOTH, the connection to out of country pisses me off so much. Living in the Midwest, the lag gets really bad with West Coast and outside countries unless their connection is on steroids. Player matches allow me to have a chance and see where they are from or connection bars. Have some balls in player matches and play sets with good players people, this is my hatemail to those of you who are cowards and run from positive win/loss ratio. That shit should just be hidden and overall rank and Truskill should only be shown.

Exactly, a lot of players will send whiny and/or insulting messages. That scrub in my last exchange chose the stage and did not indicate that he wanted items off. He had his mic in long enough to taunt me for losing our first match, so he waived his right to complain about items, which are a part of the game. He bitched and called me names for basically playing the game. I didn't start with the snark or insults until he did so after I told him I didn't cheat (even though he believes items are cheating). I have no problem with someone being salty if their opponent knowingly abuses a glitch or uses an external mean (ie. lag switch) to cheat.

Someone that would rather complain about a built-in game mechanic than to adapt and overcome deserves to be derided. In the case of Injustice, someone that refuses to practice and learn to adapt to and overcome stage items should dispose of their copy of Injustice.

The difficulty in finding good games is largely NRS's fault. Games that were made a long time ago, such as Virtua Fighter 5 (2007) have filtering options included. It's ridiculous that one has to join a room in IGAU to see a person's connection quality. If connection quality were visible, then people would have no justification to complain about lag losses. Every fighting game should have connection, region, and skill filtering options.

Sadly, there are a lot of stat padders playing IGAU. NRS once again failed in proper netplay design when they included rank for Player Matches. Player Match having it's own ranked leaderboard makes it so there is not much of a difference between Player and Ranked. This behavior encourages stat padding because people can hunt newbies down to boost their rank. I very rarely get to play a FT5 with anyone because a lot of the time, people run after losing once or if I hide my cursor in response to them hiding their cursor. NRS needs to stop making online capable fighting games until they figure out how to properly design an online component. Character choices should always be hidden until it's too late to change one's mind (ie. SF4).

Another session of Injustice, another round of hate mail.

CyberneticVenom
I first beat his Deathstroke twice with Hawkgirl. Afterwards, he beat my Cyborg once with Raven and I beat him the second match. He sent me a message complaining when it asked to choose a rematch. The first match I got destroyed (he has a damn good Raven) and the second match, I tried to rush him down and resorted to zoning when I had the life lead

Me: "What did I do that was cowardly?"

Me: "I beat your Stroke twice with Hawkgirl when it's terrible match for her and I tried to rush you down with Cyborg, a zoning character."

Me: "I dropped combos due to delay and am learning Cyborg. Want me to pick someone else and do a rematch?"

Mr EyeRonik
I played this guy twice and used Hawkgirl to do the "Win 10 times with HG" daily. He used Flash and was horrible with him since all he did was charge from full screen and do the 3 hit combo that ends with a sweep when close. I was barely touched the first match and nearly lost the second match due to lag. He was complaining on the mic the whole time about HG and saying she takes no skill and only mindless players use her. I told him to practice instead of being a scrub that walks back and tries to spam with Flash.

He sent me a message after the game dropped due to his welfare connection.

Me: "Your inferences about my physical conditioning and my mother's aesthetic appeal are unfounded since you seem to base them off the fact that you lost to Hawkgirl, a low tier character."

Me: "HG has too many bad MUs compared to Flash to be mid tier. Please explain how one can reasonably infer that another is ugly or fat when their only interaction occurs through an online video game."

*No reply since I was in the middle of a match*

Me: "It's impossible for a person to sound fat. You seem to have animosity towards overweight people for some reason. Did an overweight girl break your heart or an overweight person humiliate you at an IGAU tourney since you suck?"

I woke up this morning and got myself a gun before turning on my 360 to check for hate mail, only to be greeted by some mail from my good pal Mr EyeRonik that was time stamped about 1.5 hours after the last message in our exchange (I logged off to go hang out with friends).

I don't know which is more *facepalm* worthy between the fact that the guy messaged me long after the matches or that he actually thinks Hawkgirl is equal to Flash in the tier list.

I probably don't have anything special to add (just normal bits of HG hate) but none have the pleasure of playing Love_Troll? Me and a few buddies had him in a KOTH room. Gets bodied by my friend's Lex and Love_Troll starts going off about how he's so bad he wants to be Lex. We had some fun with him then he left before the two had to fight again. We were recording, if that made the vid, I'll try and post it
