GA I have as 8 2. His zoning destroys joker, his dashes lower his hurtbox so gunshot whiffs, low arrows can't be dashed and if you jump and get hti you're full screen, standing arrows on hit are ➕87 which is a free dash and blockstring, his d2 stops our j3 while the opposite does not happen due to GAs j3 angle, now add in trait arrows, mixups and super setups and you're fucked if you're playing a ga player that abuses all his shit

When you say standing arrows are +87, are we talking freeze arrows? Does he have something else that's +87 on block?

Can't say I've played top level GA (There are only 2 total to my knowledge XD ), but it never seemed that bad. That said, you're mentioning stuff I've never seen yet, so yeah XD

nope, thats regular standing arrows on hit. get hit once and he starts pressure.

i also found a way to make the j2 setup after 213 unable to be backdashed, therefore improving it to be truly almost unblockable

Yeah I only gave it like 4 minutes before I had to leave the other morning. Ok cool. Can't wait to get more time in. 2 weeks!
Outside of setups, I think we still need to discuss neutral game strategy more. This stuff is only good if we can actually get them into the corner, which is tough for him still. Hopefully the buff will help this out, but I'm thinking that is still a few weeks to a month off at the least.

kina pointless to discuss until patch, no tournaments coming up, no joker going to any tournaments, its just us 10 guys lol as surprising at that is.

need to wait until we get all those new enders and frametraps

I'm still doing tournament as of 2 weeks from now! just not majors... lol.
Crowbar changes in the buff are very interesting. Need to see the data to know for sure though.

it could be great or it could be trash, im depending on the sweep distance ambiguous crossups after a dash from the mb crowbar knockdown

nice, how many players will there be?

I go to 8 on the break on Tuesday nights, just haven't been due to workload, which will be all better in 2 weeks or so. Also, there is a 40 or so man tournament on the 28th, so I'll be hitting that up as well.

Regular standing arrows are +87 on block?! What in the absolute fuck. Welp, gonna make sure I crouch all of those.

I've got two regionals, (at least I think they're regionals?) coming up (Arcade Legends Presents Alpha Attack in early October and Midwest Mayhem on the 27th.) as well.

These will probably mark the first time I use Joker exclusively in a real tournament (Though I managed to get second in a local tournament this week with him so feeling fairly confident), so we'll see how it goes.


Steveo, I know what you mean about getting jittery. Even though I've been attending tournaments for years now, I still get nervous and tend to choke. You just need to find something that helps keep you calm. For me, I usually take a shot or two before starting a tournament. It's not even enough to feel it really, but it keeps me relaxed for my matches.
Another friend uses weed. Yet another just tells himself to calm down in Morgan Freeman's voice (Not even making that up.). Yet another did super fancy stuff in his matches to get the crowd on his side which in turn calmed him down. You just need to find what works for you.

If anyone is interested, I have a local and two majors coming up as well :L
Got my local in just over a week, which i'll probably record and upload the matches
And got the majors in back to back weeks early October.

why did you guys wait so long to tell these things lol

i usually deal with stress by telling myself to calm down the next time, i see why i panic and i try not to

ive been noticing reduced stress that way and at my last tournament victory it even helped me come back from 0 2 to 3 2 in the semi finals
