"Magic is easy as one... two... three!" - Zatanna BnB combos

I'm trying to squeeze more damage out of the midscreen vortex with the levitate cancel J2, and I'm finding it hard to connect parts of the following combo after the reset. Most of the time the 223 whiffs after I hit the ground or the J2 whiffs after B1U3/B23. Anyone else experiencing this or is there something you have to do after the two J2s to make the next combo work?

I dont really want to sift through 36 pages for combos, so.can anyone just tell me the best ones. Im most interested in het combos off of 3. Most people seem to be focusing on b1 or b2 as starters, but 3 seems like her best normal. Right now im doing:

3xxBF1, B3, walk forward a bit, J3, F21xx [multi kick, trait, whatever].

Anyone got anything better?


Also, whats the best AA D2 combo?

When the Puppet Master glitch gets fixed, the best ender will be a f21 into Puppet Master to set up some dangerous mixups. Theoretically, it ups your chance of connecting due to an opponent having to second guess what input to do. Also it shuts down any dangerous reversals/wakeup tactics.

Here's I nice one I found, I'm adding the jump in because the point of the combo is nice damage from J3, a great cross-up.
40% 1 bar:
J3, 112, BF3 MB, B3, J2, 112, BF2.

Or for easier timing, you can do: J3, 22, BF3 MB, B3, J3, 112, BF2. Which is also 40% 1 bar.
Can you squeeze in teleports to build meter when they're "zombie mode" before continuing the chain?

Like: J3, 22, Trance MB, Teleport, Teleport, B3, J3, 112, Cards?

Also, what are you guys using to setup Trait stance?

Okay, yep you can do:
J3, 3, BF3 MB, teleport x 2, B3, J3, F211, DB2 MB, trait, zone them.
Will build a nice about of meter, and it will take 2 bars, 40%.

I like staying mobile with Zee so I'm trying to work out combos that have her teleporting mid-combo without sacrificing too much damage.

For example:

3, Multi-kick MB, B3, teleport, 223, Ender special (Cards, Clones, Trance, MB Fire Kiss, Trait) - 32-34%

This is great for interactable denial/control.

Ah yes.
Well the combo I post above doesn't sacrifice any damage for the 2 in it.

But the combo you posted does sacrifice a fair bit of damage for the teleport.
It does. It's situational since it's basically like a side swap with you at +advantage to snag an interactable/deny the opponent using one (like the goddam pig) as well as safe cancel into Trait, MB Fire Kiss setup, or you can MB Trance for more damage to continue combo.

I'm convinced NRS designed Zee with abysmally short ranged normals because they expected people to use her teleport for mobility so she can close gaps. I mean they even made it possible to MB.

I also think that Trait stance is designed to pop off close range into combo versus full screen projectile spam since projectiles don't trade, Zee can't duck/jump, block negates Hat stance, and Zee still has access to Teleport and Clones. She's all about misdirection imho both in meta strategy and mechanic (if the Trance input scramble worked).

I mention in the vortex thread that it doesn't work. It makes both a ji2 and a ji3 whiff mid screen.
