What do you guys do when people jump away from MB Hook Charge? People tend to jump away after blocking moves that are + on block in this game (from my experience, at least), and all I got for Lobo is MB Charge, forward dash, Air Throw or D2 to full combo although air throw has hella whiff recovery and D2 is -14 on block, so it's risky.

Jump forward 1 into 113~toss mb

MB hook charge puts them in a very good ambiguos crossup position where it depends on when you press j2, If they jump i just air to air into a combo instead of a crossup.

That will work too. I find that j2 wins less in the air to air trade scenario, but still I get air to air j2's all the time when I'm going for crossups. j1 is AWESOME in air to air scenarios. Any time you hit a j1 in the air you get a free 113~toss. Same with j2 I guess lol
 
Hook Chage still clashable, Facedive still punishable as a juggle ender, Hook Charge still the most random when you hit it up close.

We have to wait for that balance patch amigos.

I'm in lab with MMH and nj1 his both teleports on reaction, timing is the same for both I'd say
the overhead one you can follow up with toss, f2 and b2 sometimes
the ground one with 1 toss for the most part

Who is lobo considered one of the worst characters.
From what I gathered from a week or two of playing the main man. Lobo is considered one of the worse characters for:
Trouble against zoners.
High execution on some combos.
Wake ups are terrible.
Compared to other rushdown characters like Flash and Doomsday, and compared to other grapplers like Grundy and Bane. Lobo lacks the tools that the other characters have to help fulfil their role. Those being speed and armour.

That is pretty damn sad, will never understand why characters with obvious flaws never get touched in fighting games.(buffs) Low tiers always seem the most fun but bad matchups just negate the point. I will probably try to pick him up though, seems cool to play, I'm not god at fighting games either do winning won't make a difference to me.

Edit:I'm also free on walrus regardless the character so it woul t make a difference lol.

Don't quite understand the statement, but he isn't a beginner character and that's what people are basing his tier placing off of, imo. His mix up and ability to keep pressure is insane. Oki options, all day.
I meant why, iPhone auto correct on my phone is broken. Anyway he looks like a character I would be interested in learning. I just been hearing how Lobo is just terrible.

This is how majority of people think of Lobo:
"I don't know anything about the character, but he's definitely the worst and needs major buffs."

Let's say for now he's not exactly great. Main reason imo being that several game mechanics doesn't favor a character of his design. Bane and Grundy while not bad characters are struggling too in sense that they require a lot of work and patience, when characters that are considered top tiers can go flowchart for the most part due to their safe abusable tools. If they just fix certain things that don't make sense (sans buffs), he would become a bit more formidable.
At least we know there is something in the store for us in the next patch.

JD3 (Party crasher/Lobo's dive) puts the opponent in a hard knockdown right? How come when I end any combo with it, the opponent can tech roll? Is it supposed to be like that?

For example, if I do this:

113 toss MB > B3 > JD3

The opponent can tech roll. Why is this?

Yes, that is an exception... naked dive is hard knockdown. Is it intended, we don't know really...

Its only a hard knockdown if they are standing on the ground when it hits them. If they have a tendency to tech roll, I just press the advantage. b+2, u+1 immediately if distance permits. or, I czar toss them again..
 
Just make sure you don't do it in a combo on full stock Superman. Tech roll + Super actually hits you before you can recover from the Party Crasher and attempt to start an offense.

I'm not sure if this is know but for unclashable damage you can do bf3 mb after a b3 if you whiff the first hit and the same goes for pump shot. this will cost 2 bars after dbf2 mb but does about 30% with trait. that is the same damage as the super without trait for half the meter

Lobo's all about the godlike 50/50's and grabs, B2U1xThrow is crazy as hell, The problem with Lobo is that, while he does have very good mixups, he doesn't have any special ways of forcing the enemy to eat their mixups, if they're smart with their wakeups and anti-airs, they can outspace Lobo all day. He doesn't have a standing reset vortex like batgirl/scorpion/frost, he doesn't have armor on a shit ton of his moves like bane/grundy, he doesn't have a super good trait like batman/flash.

I abuse the hell out of his trait. I would say I get an extra 30-40% free damage in a given match, if I remember to reload every opportunity. In particular, I whore out 2,1,3 as a punish every chance i get, at 21% a pop. And every time I hit them with it, I reload the nuke again.
