It's just funny how we disagree on the Raven and GL match ups. There is no way Raven is tougher than GL. Even if Raven gets off the ground, we can armor through pretty much everything. That's not the case with GL.That's pretty much the run down as I see it personally.
Raven is so much tougher than GL. Play Blind Man and tell me that's not a hard MU. Also they both have the same problem you just described since if GL gets off the ground he doesn't have anything a double punch/command grab won't cute. Raven can at least shut our momentum down with the threat of crushes from further distance AND she has 2 full-screen options without burning meter, something GL lacks.It's just funny how we disagree on the Raven and GL match ups. Pretty much agree on everything else though. Admittedly, I never tested Ares' back dash after a b1ed teleport. It just seemed like he could back dash right there if he knew the b1 was coming to screw with is teleport.

I played a ton of matches against some solid Raven players, and I just don't get it. I'll say the same thing you say about GL. You can block/dash her grabs. Nah, since his back is turned to you in the beginning he actually can only forward dash away but even that won't get him far enough to avoid the impending grab. If they time it really badly, the AI sometimes wigs out and it causes them to dash a bit forward and then dash right back to you like a half dash both ways. Imagine our super on scorp.
Yeah but we don't suffer in that "one-dash" range, so against GL its just a matter of walking in. I've played a ton of matches against solid GLs and Ravens, I can say for sure Raven is definitely the scarier one. Only difference is she has a lot more damage potential for her meter, and her mobility isn't complete ass. She gets full screen and you can be garenteed to eat at least 3 or 4 pillars for free if she doesn't tele away from your charge, and if those land she can MB them for huge unclashable damage.I played a ton of matches against some solid Raven players, and I just don't get it. Don't know where you heard about the normalizations, but honestly I don't see anything bad happening to Bane. What are they going to normalize, our sub-par venomless damage? Our situational level 3 damage? Because frankly I'm doubtful theres much that would genuinely make Bane worse to the point of being bottom.I want to know this huge "normalization" effort will include for Bane in the next patch. My guess is close to nothing. Lobo and Lex will get most of the buffs and Bane will make his triumphant return to bottom tier.
And GL match-up to this day I refuse to believe it anything better than 4-6 in GL's favor. GL bodies Bane when he's in Venom cooldown... BIG time.

The normalization part was talked about in the MMH stream today. They basically said they were taking their time with the next patch and that there was quite a few buffs as well as "normalizations" they were planning on doing. Personally I think Bane will come out fine from this. I'm sure he will get a small buff or two, and the nerfs to the top tiers will only further help our rise to the top...of mid tier. That's what I'm thinking as well, hopefully something to our f.2 (-7 would be nothing short of godlike) and maybe something to help us out like a walk speed buff or something. I completely agree with you. Green Lantern can definitely mess with our head with threat of b1, minigun, lift, mb rockets, etc. Raven is pretty straight forward.I don't think Raven is as hard as GL. They have a similar moveset and playstyle but Raven doesn't have a gdlk b1 to catch you off guard or tag bad jump ins, and she damn sure doesn't have a mini gun. Those things are GL's saving grace in that MU and Raven doesn't really have anything comparable that I've ever seen. Also her grabs have horrible recovery and all it takes is one charge, and she doesn't get up again. Her damage is all she has, but Bane only needs 2 knockdowns and it's over (3, if she gets a clash off).

If they block the d2, it is also a free grab. So that is one of the better OS's. Problem is only like against the jump, it doesn't finish the grab, just juggles d2. Before the d2 change d1 was the go to for this. D2 kinda lines up just perfectly for some of the match ups.
