my main thing i was getting at is this

it is not a reset its a gimmick. its not guaranteed.

It's not a gimmick. If you do it in the heat of the match the opponent may not be thinking straight and won't wake up. All of Ares' game is basically mindgames.. Just like how people say invisibility is a "Gimmick"

Batman isn't a great example because his wakeups are complete dogshit. Against Black Adam you're risking eating 35% off his EX Lightning Cage...Batgirl, Catwoman, Flash, Green Lantern, Harley, Nightwing, Raven has just enough invincibility to counter it, and doing it against Killer Frost is SUICIDE if you do not space your God Smack right.

like i said before, it is a 50/50. you have to know whether or not hes going to cross up. if im not mistaken he said before he can do certain things to cross up or not cross up

well when you play a game where there 100% guaranteed and you end up eating 90% cause of it that becomes a true reset, this is just a 50/50 it would be like me knocking someone down and doing a 50/50 with WW. same thing they can wake up, i can do set ups to cross up, the dmg is reset etc

yeah but its a setup that resets the damage. iunno whatever. in this community, reversals and wakeups are 2 different things. its weird. ive played 3d, capcom and anime also and this community uses terms that confuse me lol

Guys, this is not guaranteed at all. It's a strong option, yes, but it can be avoided or in some instances punished, plain and simple.
