you should explain why... otherwise one is just different and you dont like it as much.
It's not that I don't like it because it's different. I don't like it because it's flawed. I'll grant you the projectile discussion. That's a matter of preference, indeed. But everything concerning projectiles in this game that is different from other fighters, favors zoners.
Less related to the OP but very bothersome to me is the input system (if your asking for examples). Mixing MK type inputs for specials combines really bad with back-to-block, at least in the way NRS implemented it. And if you put it in alternate controls to get around it, a lot of special move inputs have overlap, ffs. Try doing cat whip (qcf+1) from a defensive position with catwoman with alternate controls. They did improve this in a previous patch and it went mostly unnoticed but it still sucks. Fundamental flaw is fundamental.
I could come up with a whole list of issues with the input system in this game. Not to mention other design flaws that have been there since MK9. Especially buffering inputs when you don't want to or dropping buffered inputs when you don't want it. It's not inconsistent but it's not as fluent as it could have been. If only they didn't insist on doing it different from what has been proven.
What is most annoying to me about it is how I keep getting accidental specials coming out when I press downback+button. It would be so much better if it had to be down,
then back + button. Also, when I input play doctor with Harley, I should not accidentally get a gun shot, ever.
