Zoning in this game is easy to do and boring , especially with superman , deathstroke , lantern , even sinestro. Try to win by zoning with freddy in mk9 . He is a great zoner but not easy to use . Thats the character type this game needs . Freddy have so many tools to use , and you needed to use all of them ( not just 2) at the right time to be successful :) Here you have characters with one or two spammable moves and you call it "zoning"
What u mean zoning is easy and boring? Not a single of those characters you named will easily zone me out. I can also zone against randoms who dont know how to play, yeh thats easy and boring indeed i agree on that.
 
Agreed. In SF4, zoning is meant to frustrate your opponent into making a mistake. You then punish that mistake. Hell... you can easily jump fireballs. You can even focus through them and gain ultra meter. What can you do about Injustice zoning? As we found out at EVO, not much. In Injustice, zoning wins games.

now i get NRS is probably tired of complaints and so are the people. but what the hell is up with almost every character with the exception for certain characters like catwoman, wonderwwoman,flash,solomonG,bane,etc can zone. like do you guys think before giving these characters certain abilities. like do you guys know how hard it for certain characters to get in when you have majority of the online players running away and zoning. like what the hell do you guys expect us non zoners to do. like you have raven that has full screen grabs, sinestro whos zoning is hard to get by. deathstroke(no words) and the rest of the cast. if you have non zoning characters they should be able to stay in your face like an annoying bitch. for an example. Wonderwoman has no real safe way to get in so what the fuck can she do against zoners, and her d1 is negative so thats a pain. you guys need to change this now. zoning is to dominant in this game.
WW has instant air demigodess, probably the best safe way to get in out of anybody if you ask me.
 
What annoys me about this game being so heavy on zoning is almost all the zoning characters feel like you're fighting Kenshi, in the sense of busting your ass to try and get in, and as soon as they land one projectile on you, you're back at full screen and have to start the whole process over. This is what makes Superman fights so boring, for example.

And yeah, if a rushdown character gets in, it should be just as hard for the zoner to get them out as it was for the rushdown character to get in.

Some sort of dash cancel system would help, instead of being locked into your stupid dash animation. Especially with someone like Harley.
 
Like, zoning is really hard to get past, like I keep walking and dashing forward and like people just like keep shooting things at me, then I stand back up and like they keep shooting things at me, like Idk what to do besides keep trying to walk and dash forward but like it's not easy so NRS should nerf zoning so like I can just walk in there and punch them.

with WW the only problem getting in is on people like GL and Raven... because of their grabs, other than that its fine.

I dont see a problem in this game with zoning, all their powers are accurate to their characters and all the characters I use can get around it if you are good enough, nay?

Its because a lot of people are angered by the zoning bad matchups, example it is impossible for g.l not to eat at least one quick shot if he does not know what he is doing against death stroke, and some people, such as doomsday on green arrow, are just doomed from the start when the match says begin, assuming competent play is at work on both sides. I do agree for most characters zoning is manageable, for the rest, just have to learn a new character. Its like getting good with ganondorf in ssbb

this is the whole problem, the NRS zoning mechanics limits your movement to dashblock or jumping. taddaa

And jumping isn´t really an option. Where do you stand after being pushblocked? Nearly fullscreen. Where do you stand after a knockdown from a zoner? Nearly fullscreen. Where do you stand after eating an interactable? Nearly Fullscreen. Where do you stand after a clash sequence? Nearly fullscreen. If a rushdowner wins a clash he should stay in your face. Or give us the option to "pushblock" projectiles, with MB+Block you become projectile invul or something like this. This game favours zoning, look at the current top tiers.

Ironic that people have trouble getting in on zoners with WW when I find it difficult to even throw a projectile and not get an air dash on top of my head that crossed up my d2 or that charge attack she does
