Don't Timer Balls make it easier?
Probably, but I'm going for a plain pokeball or a dive ball.

For the record, I managed to get Regigigas with a Pokeball. I had shitloads of other balls with better catch rates, just felt like it and I wasn't even surprised when it caught him lol.
Spiritomb/Sableye make catching Azelf/Mesprit/Uxie so easy. Just paralyze them, get them down to red and switch out. They literally don't have any moves to hurt Spiritomb/Sableye since all their attacking moves are either Normal or Psychic

I usually just use Dusk Balls until the Timer Ball maxes out. Dusk Balls have a 3x catch rate, Timer Balls have 4x catch rate after 30 turns.
Whenever I capture it, I'll trade you. I'll try tonight or tomorrow.
Yeah.... about that.... when I found Spiritomb it insta-memento'd itself and there was no way I was going to soft reset after not saving for a clean 2 hours... Make sure you use it to catch the legendary dogs if you want them first because I'm not 100% sure if it works with Ho-oh/Lugia in their opposite versions.

When making a team you can choose the NU format and it'll list them all for you.
You get it from the looker at battle resort. He'll wash up on shore and go to someone's cabin, and you get it from him there.
