Please make MKX handle latency better than MK9 and Injustice.

I just want to bring some attention to this. I would love to see an improvement in the way NRS games handle online latency. The delay on inputs is too heavy even in good connections. Even when playing someone only a few miles away the delay is very noticeable, enough to really affect the way the game plays. If you play state to state it gets way worse. Injustice was an improvement over MK9 though it is still bad.

I think having solid online play is important. Bad online really discourages a lot of people from playing. It also makes it harder for people who don't have local competition to get better. It's like playing a different version of the game with modified rules.

I think other games can be looked at as an example. While not perfect, games like Street Fighter 4 and SF X Tekken play so much better online. In good connections they feel really good. I don't feel as if I have to change the way I play because of lag.

A lot of people agree that the online in the other NRS games could use a ton of improvement. We should all make some noise about this.

Would they be able to implement GGPO? Skullgirls uses it, and the online play in that is glorious. I've had connections that feel completely lagless playing from Philadelphia to San Diego. Regardless, hopefully NRS does something about their online. SF4 has had very solid online for 5 years now; I would only hope that NRS figures out how to get it right this time around.

Particularly in a world where there is
1) a rapidly growing scene for watching competitive video gaming (twitch traffic is beating amazon and hulu at times!)
2) a lot of older players who don't necessarily have the time or scene to practice in an offline crew 2-3x a week
good online is becoming a must in order to grow your scene and keep continued attention on your title.

On PS4, when the connection is solid on both sides, latency is hardly even noticeable. However, the games still get disconnected from time to time and that blame is purely all on NRS and their crappy netcode.
It doesn't matter anyways, Boon will say that MKX will have the best netcode he has ever seen and it will be Flawless.

I think this needs to be discussed a lot more in order for it to be addressed in the next game. Aren't people tired of inaccurate match up numbers, fake mix ups and no footsies all caused by bad net play? Our games will evolve a lot quicker and live longer with a good netcode. I don't care about any new features if the netcode is bad.

I still have one MK9 video to make, its about Input bug but i think no one did that yet before, i hope NRS watches it and by adressing i really hope they improve overall input in the game, release check is one of the first things that needs to go.

I'm sure almost everyone wants decent online. We can't know how hard NRS are trying, but if they make the online bad again they'll just end up making a bad name for themselves.

I don't get what's so hard for developers to understand. This generation RELIES on online netcodes being good. Couch gaming with buddies is rare now-a-days as we see fewer and fewer games having multiplayer with split screen and the likes of that. Many games don't get crippled so bad by a few frames of lag but fighting games do, and it's sad when it's a chore to play a fighting game online. Nothing more frustrating than when you know you reacted to something that you got hit by or when somenone mashes out of your frame trap. I sincerely hope the netcode is flawless because NRS games have a bad stigma with that kind of stuff, and if the game loses steam in the offline scene (hopefully not) then many people will rely on the online being reliable.
