I'm very much the exact opposite. I had to play in a Mortal Kombat tournament after thinking about only injustice in a tournament recently. Mortal Kombat just felt slow and shitty to me. I became flustered because of the abundance of options in Injustice compared to Mortal Kombat where I felt as if I was very limited and I had to dumb down my mentality in order to compete. I can legitimately say I have no interest in that game at this point, but thats only because Injustice is so much fun at the moment. My only focus in Injustice this point is not making the same mistake I did in Mortal Kombat and picking the right characters. No point in being a low tier hero if you can never win tournaments with characters that just can't compete with top tiers.

As I see it Kabal and Kenshi dictate the pace of the game while Kung Lao is the only sheriff of the game keeping them somewhat honest in an otherwise character dominated game.

You'll feel very uninterested in Injustice if you're a character loyalist who thinks you're so good that you will just work through tough match ups. NRS games are very simple so there is no reason not to have 3 characters that you are very good with. solid rush down, solid zoning and a fundamentally solid character. Anyone is free to disagree but as I predicted in mortal kombat a year ahead of time you all will agree with this opinion later down the road as well.

Before i get into this, let me just say that i am by all means NOT bashing this game, and i applaud NRS for their effort in making this title, but im just asking the community, is anyone already kind of bored of this game as i am??? I mean i still play it at casuals wit my kh crew, but as far as having the anticipation of coming home and playing like i did on its initial drop? I dont have that passion anymore, maybe its the game mechanics, the fact that im not able to space someone out and whiff punish as i did in mk, or the face that i have to respect jump ins because certain characters lack a proper anti air, or maybe its because " in some ways" armor is even a bigger issue in this game then it was in mk lol, again im not bashing the game, it has its own ways of being fun, but im just asking you guys, whos in the same boat as how i feel?, whats your reason for slowly losinng interest in this title, or do you only keep playing it because their is tournaments and money involved, and not because its fun.
I pretty much feel the same way.

Oh, I agree with you completely, and I know what you mean. I haven't touched the game since Lobo's release. I don't get excited to play the game anymore. Even if I planned on playing the game I would never enter a major for it. This game fun at a casual level, but I'd never put money into it at a tourny. The time I wanted to spend in Injustice is going towards the game I'll be playing at majors till I drop dead.

I like this game but I just can't find the motivation to play it anymore. Maybe its the lack of friends to practice with in person(which is 0) or online(which is also 0) or maybe I am just getting to old to sit and play videos games hours on end anymore. But that didn't stop me from playing MK9 a lot, though.

I might not agree with everything you said, but I tried playing MK at ECT and was trying to use interactables on Deadpool and was trying to meter burn cutter lol. The game feels hella weird after playing Injustice.

i always thought people who started with soul calibur were the worst when it came to calling everything "broken" (SC4 algol still never shouldve been banned sorry), but apparently the people who started with MK9 are up there too!!!

all the whining over KF slide et al. made me realize yall would have an aneurysm if you ever saw a good guilty gear match. game is chock full of 100% SAFE (sometimes even PLUS ON BLOCK) normals that lead to 40-50% loops, which usually knock down and give you a free 100% SAFE mixup which leads to another big combo if it hits and resets the situation AGAIN. this isn't even mentioning eddie and his guaranteed unblockables into full combos and/or MORE UNBLOCKABLES...

how about super turbo having RANDOM DAMAGE and RANDOM STUN on virtually every move in the game? cammy has an over 50% combo which sometimes dizzies (guaranteeing death) and sometimes doesn't, with that being determined by sheer luck. the throw system also has a not insignificant luck element - if both players throw each other on the same frame, the game does a random 50/50 to determine who gets it. the game also has two characters (bison & deejay) with fully practical 100% combos off ambiguous crossups.

and yet, these are among the most respected FGs ever. ST is the single longest-lasting tournament game in the genre, and GG is still going very strong in japan. i'm not saying the above elements are good things, i'm saying that they aren't guaranteed to ruin a game the way many people on this site seem to think.

in short, your games are nowhere near as busted in the grand scheme of things as you think they are. games lasted 10+ years with bigger problems than MK9 input bug & kabal, and if you want to use the "things were different then" excuse...SF4 is in its 5th year now, and don't even try to tell me any NRS glitch is worse than the unblockables in that game!

I am still enjoying it to a point. The game feels kinda lopsided with the LOL POWER CHARACTERS throwing doom from above and the fact some characters still have horrible traits ::Cough:: JOKER ::Cough:: and other characters can call down a game changing mechanic with a single button ::COUGH:: BATMAN ::COUGH::.

Also the Zoning, I understand beating scrubby zoners should just be block > dash, block > dash, but fighting a half decent Sinestro with my Joker requires so much more work. I have to put in so much more effort than they do.

Now before you say L2pnoob! I know Joker, I know his teeth set ups, I do extremely well against most other characters. I can beat Deathstroke spam, Superman Spammers, and Batman fairly often.

Sinestro with his zoning abilities is just a lopsided fight of pain.

Its like I challenge a guy to a fight in the desert. I am armed with a spork and I know 140+ different ways to kill a man with this spork, I could go toe to toe with Chuck Norris using this spork, etc. When I arrive my challenger has a shotgun. I can't even get fucking near him, he doesn't even have to aim.

He just points it at me, smiles, and pulls the trigger. GG

I also understand the "Well pick a higher tier character" argument, but I love Joker, I was a Joker fanatic before TDK movie and will always will be.

The Killing Joke is still one of my favorite graphic novels to date even though Alan Moore is as insane as they come.

It just makes me feel bad he has so much trouble in this match up.

TLDR: The fact that you can put in hours upon hours to improve your skill and still get cheesed by a shitty player and lose.

I think the problem is that the most respected games in the FGC are games that are built around randomness and 100% unlockable safe loops...

Certainly says something.

Fuck Injustice and everything (read: one) that comes with it. -__-

lol

Maybe some of you need to accept, that there's a good handful of us that simply don't like this boring/wack ass game.

I'd rather take it up the ass from HomeboyTyson while giving King Hippo a reach around, than play a single round of Injustice.

I put mk9 in yesterday for the first time after injustice and i got an update
wait what? :/ what system?

Some things in Injustice aren't as random as people claim. Perhaps this game is beginning to weed out the scrubs?
Most def.

You can bait and train your opponents using the interactables.....get near one and have a catwoman player jump back out of range..great because I should zone out a catwoman player since her upclose game is seemingly better than Hawkgirl's I Can resume zoning...but if I notice the player using interactables and getting too mobile I will destroy The interactable as a means of shutting down their mobilty on the stage..interactables aint just all about "free damage" smfh

I agree. It takes a little more thinking than MK9 imo.

People hate Injustice just because there isn't a block button. You can't block every attack. :joker:
What's more funny is I haven't seen the "top" players that are winning complaining about this game and calling it scrubby. lol. I have yet to see Tom Brady, REO, or Aris call this game a random scrub fest like some of the top players in this thread. If it's so random how the hell has Aris consistently won WNF's? They're just salty they aren't doing as well in Injustice as they were in MK9 at majors.

Injustice is great it's just not a game that I have found the passion to be beast at it like MK9, but I will say when I got the demo and learned about the crossups and back to block I wanted to prepare. I went and bought TTT2, SFIVAE, SFXT, and SCV (fuck Mahvel) just to be more prepped for the game.

Thank God I did because I've found so much love for theses other fighting games, and it's opened my eyes to lots of different communities. I still play Injustice but I can't keep up with all the patches. I'll let them simmer down and wait until everything people are constantly complaining about is fixed before I really put the work in to get better. IMHO watching Injustice is boring, but playing it is pretty fun. But I'll always hold MK9 dear to my heart. Hopefully we can hear about some news on MK10 either late 2013 or early 2014. :D
