Nope. You have to do it the first (and only) time it asks you, or else you won't get Knightfall Bane. I had to uninstall the app and install it again just so I could get the skin.

I can't remember exactly, but it cost £28 to get enough coins to buy the two cards. But then I suppose, with those two cards (which are pretty damn epic) you'd complete the game easier which would unlock the final secret unlockable.
If you've got a WBID account and put it into the console game when it comes out, you'll get Bane.

If you buy or receive a character card that you already have, you can promote it. There will be a P on the card if its promotable
When you buy a booster pack you get one random character card from the tier of the booster pack you have decided to buy, gold gives you gold etc., each pack also comes with two support cards, these either increase power regen, increase health or increase damage for a specific character.
A power drain character is essential, so you can wail on him again and again and drain him before he brings down a meteor on your head. As you use your power drain character, if you have one that is, your other two should have their super meter building, bring them and unleash a super, then block until you can pull them out again and bring in your power drain again.
One other thing to add is there is the one-time starter pack that you can buy that contains Harley Quinn, who is silver tier I believe, along with two other random Silver tiers I think, but this can only be bought with actual money. I think it's how the makers of the game intended for it to be played but we are all quite stubborn.

Ah well, I got crazy lucky and got two of the best, Doomsday is crazy powerful and I needed a Batman to get Batman Beyond, so I got pretty damn lucky!
