reoooo showed possessed kenshi nooo type of love love. i think his tele should be able to be used in the air. I think his low demons should be safer on block as well as his bf3 (his possessed version of tele fury) and i think his f2 overhead should be universal across variations. kenshi needs these.

i agree with shinnoks buffs, i would add that his bf+4 flick move should also track better on running opponents because as of now you can run through just about all of his specials.

Takedas normals need to be faster on startup more specifically his b21 overhead string.

The liu kang buff is a little eh because the windmill punches (including the ex) are both pretty negative on block so whiff or not if they are blocked liu kang gets punished. Flame fist is probably one of his worst because of it. I think his windmill punch should have a similar property to that of his BK where it can be meter burned at any point in time to start a combo as well as make it safe.

The three characters that need buffs most is shinnok, KENSHI FOR SURE, and takeda. Liu is fine despite him even getting nerfed a bit with the recent patch but his flame fist could use some help.

I took it as a troll because he said ex teleflurry safer. Excuse my language please but what in the fuck does that accomplish when ex tele flurry doesn't even hit multiple times on block, have armor, and there's absolutely no no no no reason whatsoever to use it unless to close out a round on an already confirmed hitting combo. Very ill advised suggestion but like I said I trust reo is smart enough to realize that's a worthless prediction and did it as a troll

I think those Erron Black changes are reasonable. It's a shame that his coolest looking variation -- Gunslinger, is his most underused.
Gunslinger needs a straightshot that works. Not one where he spins and misses the first shot if he is mid-full screen. He could be such a cool Deathstroke type character with coin toss projectiles.

What Kenshi really needs: usable normals :confused:

All of his variations could seriously use a buff in that direction.
Well they won't re-mocap them so they are what they are. Startup could be adjusted or properties but they are what they are

Kung Jin no longer has a neutral jump punch and his dive kick stands opponent and is -30 on hit. Also, bo swat does not launch unless mb. And f3 hits once and is mid. Kung Jin also loses his bow so he doesn't have a reach.

If NRS was going by what everybody wants. And people would still say he's top 5

What about Kitana's b3? That wasn't in the game before, was it?
I imagine it was an extra they recorded and didn't implement . Just a guess

Pretty rare that a character gains a whole new move because that requires motion capturing, Gfx team, sound team, design team, etc etc for one freaking move. Way too much $ and time for them to do that for a competitive fighting game community that makes up 1/100,000 ratio of their sales which is why it was either a hold over or maybe Tanya move they decided not to give her

balance patch:

Get rid of 50/50 town set play

bring the game back to a more MK9 feel of "I need to retaliate at this point" not "I hope i block this incoming unseeable mixup" (MK9 setplay didn't revolve around unseeable 50/50).

That would require the removal of all "restand" specials/normals (since wakeups have no invince... that is where the mindgames come).

That would also require the removal of completely unreactable and unseeable OH/Low starters.

All ground normals have priority over all air normals.

But that would make MKX a totally different game than what it is now..... so yeah. I have overstepped the bounds of the thread.

It's how it should have been to begin with. It's much worse than it was in Injustice. >=/

Hmm. Removing Quan's ability to summon bat during trance sure would hurt his damage.

Getting rid of the plus frames from Rune might hurt his non summoner variations. But to each his own. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. That's the whole point of the thread, after all.

I do have a question, though. See, i joined the site after watching MK9's very first EVO. My memory is kind of bad.

Did people freak out this bad when the community figured out Baraka, Jade, Noob, and Stryker were low tier? Did they accuse NRS of making a mistake when Somberness revealed the frame data for these characters?

I'm really asking. I can't remember.

Fair question

Our competitive players are smarter today than we were in 2011. We've evolved and see things better now. W that being said people knew those characters were garbage around oct 2011

They're were still bills flying around about Baraka and jade

There were particular people who said Stryker went 5-5 w Kenshi into 2012. Those people have since been clinically diagnosed as insane and committed to a mental house

exactly, maybe it should hit mid maybe? idk i use possessed more because i think its his best but even so his specials are extremely negative as well.

You might have to tweak the + and - of a lot of character's frames for that to work. Having the game play like MK9 with the frame data a lot of characters have might not be all that exciting. But i could be wrong.
