MY PREDICTIONS FOR THE NEXT BALANCE PATCH - POST YOURS

REO

Undead
Almost everyone is waiting for the first real balance patch to hit. Who do you think is going to get changes? These are mine on what I think will change or might happen. Characters not listed I don't think will get any changes. This is a for fun thread so post your wish list.


Erron Black:

Gunslinger
- Stand Off Stance~2 safe on block.

- All coin shots now hit overhead.


Shinnok:

Necromancer
- D,B+4 hand summon has better tracking on ground and catches people trying to run.

- Can now cancel into D,B+1 on HIT (just like Goro can cancel into his slow unblockable tele stomp).

- EN D,B+4 now hits low.

- EN B,F+2 now hits overhead.


Kenshi:

In General
- F + 3 now hits overhead.

Balanced
- Enhanced Teleflurry way safer on block.

Kenjutsu
- Normal overhead special attack safe on block.


Kotal Kahn:

Sun God
- Sun Ray has a bigger radius, lasts longer, and has way better recovery.

Blood God
- Defensive Totem makes Kotal take NO chip damage on block.

- Damage Totem makes Kotal Khan do increased chip damage up to 2x (double) on block. This means uppercut doing 3.50% on block now does 7% and etc. etc.

- Vampiric Totem gives Kotal one layer of armor.


Mileena:

Ethereal
- Enhanced ethereal teleports have armor.

Piercing
- Low sai is now plus on hit up close.

Ravenous
- New enhanced d,b+3 pounce that has one hit of armor and hits overhead for one bar.


Kitana:

In General
- F + 2 now hits overhead.

Mournful
- Neutral jump punch uses staff kinda like Kung Jin.

Assassin
- Sharpen makes fan projectiles hit mid while active.

Royal Storm
- Can cancel into float after unique 2,4,4 string (at both kicks).


Sub-Zero:

Cryomancer
- F+4,2,1+3 is now plus on hit.

- Air hammer now hits overhead and then low.


Takeda:

Lasher
- d+f+1 unique normal has way better cancel advantage to make Kunai linked after it almost like a true block string.

Ronin
- Can do B+2,1 overhead string with his whips when sword is detached and on the ground.


Liu Kang:

Flame Fists
- All windmill punch hits don't whiff on an opponent crouching anymore.

- EX Flame Fists last his safe on block.

Dualist
- Yin Light fireballs now drain opponent Stamina by one bar on hit and half of a bar on block.

- New enhanced heal that heals health twice as fast for one bar.

- Yang d,b+3 power up doesn't go away on hit or block.


Kung Lao:

Hat Trick
- Calling hat back now has projectile immunity and absorbs a projectile during travel.

- Enhanced hat call back has armor now.

- Hat call back can be done during teleport.


Kano:

Commando
- Choke is now safe on block.

- EX parries now start up in one frame.


Ferra / Torr:

Ruthless
- Pain and Gain can be stacked up to four times now instead of just three.

- New EN version of d,d,+1 that gives two stacks for one bar.

- Throwing an opponent backwards after doing EN command grab now does damage like throwing them forward.


Quan Chi:

Sorcerer
- Purple spell circle now drains super meter if opponent blocks something and the circle has a bigger radius.

- Purple spell circle now has better recovery.


Scorpion:

Ninjitsu
- All sword attacks do a little bit more chip.

- Last hit of b+3,2,f+2 string safer on block.

You don't think they'll make any changes to Shinnok's Flick in Necromancer? Or even his DF3 (forget the name) I think both could use better tracking. For example, you should be able to do 3,1,2~DF3, but it whiffs as it is right now. @colt

Also, Shinnok's MB Shoulder doesn't fully connect on every character in the roster, only a few. I'd love it if they could fix this too.

Curious as to why you think NRS would consider this. Seems like Ex-Roll would cover all scenarios except maybe unbreakable damage.
Idk, I kinda feel like Ravenous is supposed to be an all up in your face kind of style but it doesn't even have a safe armor attack lol. It's a really cool variation, though.

God yes on Mournful! I would to see her use her staff in her normals.
Just imagine Kitana doing a float cancel and then getting bopped by her neutral jump punch almost half screen away. Ship it, lmao.

I expect sun god to receive a small sun choke buff and that's it. NRS will be cautious

Sun ray for SUN god would be nice.
Grappling people in his psuedo perma ray on the screen would be funny.

BIG PUSHER
Goro
- The last of hit of b12u2 advances him forward slightly to prevent it whiffing on hit outside of point blank range

Kotal
- Sun God Choke does more damage per level; at level 3 his air grab will bounce meterless (fap fap fap)
- Sun Ray recovers faster

Erron Black
- Now has a different hat for each variation

God yes on Mournful! I would to see her use her staff in her normals.
I still don't know why it wasn't like this in the first place, even people around here were hoping for it prior the final build, Boujutsu, Bone Shaper, Ronin, Kenjutsu for instance, each one of them give the characters normals based on their weapons, yet in a variation that is supposed to be a homage for another character, just get a clumsy combo ender using the staff.

I can't talk much about balance but, looking specifically at Unbreakable Sub-Zero, the Frozen Aura would be more interesting if it gave him like one armor, but with some cooldown to it.
