Playstation 3 can't even handle MK9 as it is now!

MK9 is pretty much tit for tat between every version. It's Injustice that blows on PS3.

And in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if this studio whos handling the last gen MKX ports had the PS3 Injustice port dumped on their lap for some of the process.

Johnny Cage is a relatively good person.

It's still parent/daughters murdering each other and that has been going on since UMK3, dunno why this is all of a sudden controversial. And this point doesn't make sense because Kitana can still brutally murder her mom when she becomes good as she does later in the series.

The "relatively good people" of MK are pretty brutal in their fatalities, I don't think good people murder in sadistic or humiliating ways if we're over thinking a non-canon finisher that is there for fun.

The fact people have an issue with the relative fatality thing is funny...its not exactly unprecedented...
Maybe if the situation arises you can stop and preach your moral leanings to your competitor on the situation and how you will be emotionally distraught and in a panic until you see the select screen again and make sure everyone is okay and still loves each other...
or you can have them perform babalities with the pretense that now they have to raise you...

It's like people feel entitled for companies to downgrade. Ok, if they made it exclusively for old gen, in a few years old gen would be near dead, and than you would have no MK for next gen. GGs gaming community, you want to ruin a long term experience of potentially 10+ years for next gen MK because you could have a year or 2 at most on old gen before everyone transitions over. Derp.

And it's not my fault you don't want to buy next gen consoles because "nothing is out yet", I see a lot of things coming out and releasing in the future.

I had a feeling the balancing issues on this new game is going to be HELL. I'm not happy that Ed Boon confirmed my worries in this video. And having EVO and other tournament players help to balance the game will not help much at all. Tournament players really don't help a game they help themselves, by focusing on characters they don't plan on using and doing everything they can to slip their chosen character/s under the nerfing radar. Just look at Aquaman from Injustice, why do you think Tom Brady mained him from day one of launch lol.

Balancing fighting games, especially new games of this ground breaking-three variations style magnitude requires TIME. When I say time that means months and months of testing and community gameplay of ALL the characters. The first year is not enough to close the door on all the patches because the first year the game is out most of the community will be playing as the more popular characters and very few will actually be learning and getting skilled with the odd or unpopular characters. That is where the problems go under the radar. By the end of the first year everyone will know how to play as and play against Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Cassie while many other characters have not been fully explored yet and had their broken/glitch moves exposed to be nerfed.

So I tell you as of now, this game will have a top 5 or 7 and this game will be very unbalanced and possibly made worse with the last patch that is sent out.

I have an expensive rig too but let's be serious here: When was the last time the PC was used as the mainstream console of choice for a fighting game?

I bought into the hype when I picked up SFIV for the PC way back when, but found nothing but rolling tumbleweeds online.

PCs are great for a lot of games, but competitive fighting is not among those. Hopefully they are able to easily patch and balance the game across the board, so switching from PC to console for tournament play won't be too disorienting frame wise. My biggest hope for PC gamers too is that the game is properly optimized, unlike SOME games. *cough Watch Dogs PIECE OF SHIT*

Why should I force myself to get a new console just to experience a "new and improved" engine, when it should've already been improved on the port?

And there's only so much more that Mortal Kombat could continue to be a household name. Regardless of its legacy and history, sooner or later people will stop buying the game, regardless or not its on a new generation or old generation gaming system. MKA was on PS2, Xbox and the Wii but yet people STILL complained about how inferior it was.

And lastly to conclude this, there isn't anything interesting out there in the gaming world that particularly expands on the capabilties of the newer generation systems. There are simply nothing coming out or being made that broadcasts a reason why someone should immediately go out and buy it.

Might just be me but EVO players should NOT be involved in testing. This should be a closed testing only to the people who are creating the game. I don't want to see or hear a group of people get extra information when the rest of us have to sit here and wait patiently for these pieces of information.

I'm OVERJOYED that the NRS team will be building this game on NextGen hardware from the ground up. I couldn't be happier. If I didn't already have a NextGen system, I'd be buying one now. Inferior system gets an inferior version. That's the way it should be. It's either that or no MKX at all for the people who aren't willing to buy a NextGen system.

MKX won't be out for about a year. Save money.

My problem is that everyone here is basically like "fuck last gen get a ps4 alredy loserss!!1 XDD", because that's complete horseshit. These new consoles are comparatively the worst gaming consoles ever released. When you look back at what consoles used to bring to the table that PC didn't, it's pathetic. Consoles used to beat or at least match PC graphics because they used such new cutting edge technology, and that was true even when PS360 was released. Now PC blows these new consoles so hard out of the water it's not even worth mustering the energy to laugh at. Consoles didn't used to have 8 gigabyte day 1 patches. You don't even get free online anymore, at least with Sony. Let's not even get into how there's an embarrassing amount of these new games are multiplat and on PC as well, so exclusives are hardly worth mentioning right now.

My point is that is makes total sense to wait on these new consoles this time around, and yet everyone here has this superiority attitude like YOU'RE the problem for not buying these shitty new consoles, ESPECIALLY WHEN THIS GAME WAS ANNOUNCED FOR PC (you know, the only true "next-gen" hardware in this discussion). And it pisses me off.
