Why zoning is such a problem in injustice..

I don't understand why people post things like "oh this thread again" and then get upset at OP for not searching through every single thread. If I have a problem or want to voice my opinion. I'm going to do it, I'm going to go on some indiana jones hunt to find someone else's thread. If you have a problem with it then why read it or why post on it? And your telling him to stop bitching, when your bitching about him using his 1st amendment right.
#4. Search first.
If you are about to post a topic and you think 'Wow, I can't believe nobody thought to post this before!' then they probably did. If it has drifted back into the dark reaches of the forum, its probably for the best. Read over what was said, if you still have questions or comments, go ahead and post them, but maybe mention that you searched, you saw what was said and you needed to say something else about it.
Addendum to #4. Scan through topics before you post to them. If you just jump in at the end, you might ask a question that's already been answered or completely miss the point of what others say.

Sorry, but did I miss the announcement where the site STOPPED being a competitive fighting game site?
And miss the announcement where competitive fighting game site meant everyone has to be jerks 24/7. 90% of advice on this site is: Level up, learn to play, stop being a scrub, and go to train (they won't say what to train).

- you obviously didn't read all of the pages then I only rejected one thing which was training mode because I only use it to get down combos because it doesn't help me get past zoners and spammers . But if you would of have ACTUALLY read all the pages before posting this you would of have saw that I was getting help form at least three people and I even thanked them for it ... So please get out
I actually did read every page, god (any god) help me. And thanks to the search function you're oblivious to, I actually can pull up every instance of you using the word "thanks" in this thread:

You twice thanked the same person for giving you advice, and the other thanks were directed at people for their willingness to tolerate yet another random that stubbornly insists on remaining a scrub.

None of this is the point anyway. The point is you seriously came to a competitive fighter forum and said training mode is useless for learning how to get around zoning. Like, seriously. That was something that was said. Someone literally fucking said that shit and it was you. You rejected literally the best piece of advice that was offered to you in the pointless thread that you yourself started.

So take your own advice and

This is a competitive fighting game forum. We come here to absorb information on playing to win. The "level up", "learn to play" advice is there because most of the scrubs who flood in here are suffering from braindead problems that just playing more will cure. Just because you hear the same advice all the time doesn't make it bad.

As far as training mode goes, it's not fucking rocket science. You train against what's giving you problems, herpamotherfuckingderp. The record command feature wasn't installed just to fill space in the on-disk code FFS. It serves a real purpose, I promise.

Just because you need to be spoon-fed information in a high chair as a grown ass person doesn't mean the rest of us have to paste smiles on our faces when we feed you.

Why So Serious.
I'd hate to post a sort or rant thread for my first post but I think I want to voice my opinion on this.

(Okay these problems are ones that mostly causals face like me NOT HARDCORE PLAYERS, and yes Im still getting backlash but this is mostly meant for casuals and average players)

Now by all means I'm not hating on injustice at ALL! I'm just pointing out a problem of zoning in injusitce and why it has become such a problem, there's 3 main reasons for this.. Now lets see them shall we ?

1. Almost every character in Injustice has full screen zoning...
Okay so for me this is big because characters like sinestro, raven , cyborg , green arrow, superman, etc. all have full screen zoning that is almost impossible for any casual player to dash in on them. Also the almost every character has an anti air attack so it's near impossible for the other player to get the jump on them, then the dash is not fast enough to get through the zoning. So basically there are too many characters with zoning oh and don't even get me started with cyborg and raven ...

2. There is no dedicated block button..
In injustice the block button has been replaced with the more traditional back l3, this makes it hard to get past zoning because in order to block it essentially forces your character to back up or you can Croutch and hold back (but that is almost useless at full screen because of specials like superman's laser beam MB ). Overall blocking in Injustice is not great like many players have pointed out...

3. There is too much screen space in between characters..
This one I think is the biggest problem because, the screen space in injustice encourages keep away play. This is also the reason why characters like cyborg and superman can be played with strictly keep away/ zoning because the screen space is so large in between players. This makes it almost impossible for characters like Lobo too win because the other player just dashes across screen and plays keep away the whole match and just zones him out e whole match ..
- feel free to reply negatively or positively. Let me know if you agree with me that these are the problems to the zoning problem in injustice. Also once again I'm not trying to rant, just pointing out problems that I beilive are the problem..

you're right about everything you just said, but if you go back in time before the game was released, and the creators were talking about this game. You will hear them say that this is a totally new type of fighting style game. In games before zoning characters were weak and rush down characters were strong, and had more advantage. In injustice the zoners are just as powerful as rush down characters. I know you were referring to casual players about the zoning, but it is not impossible to get in on any zoner. Yes it does take some skill to dash in, but you can always counter pick your opponents character regardless of how well you play. Every Character in this game has a counter, and yes you do have to have some skill to counter a select few.

I do have to agree with you on the way the blocking is formated to street fighter style. It was very hard at first for me to get this down coming from MK9. After i adjusted to it i had the problem of blocking low to normal block, and from then and still now blocking the cross ups which is the worst i tell you. On the ps3 controler it is the worst. Sometimes when i'm holding just back it will make my character jump or duck. Its ridiculous. If there was a dedicated block button this would never happen .

As far as the distances on the screen, I love it. you need it to be honest, because of all the level interactives. It gives you space to get away from them. Most of the zoners projectiles at full screen are not as effective as midscreen. Take sinestros fear blast. It comes out at like a 22 degree angle and makes it easy to jump over in less its MB, and if you're up close you can duck under it with regular characters. Ravens Grab only works at certain distances, will not touch you at full screen. You get what i'm saying. There is one character that is just a born true zoner and that is death stroke. like you said about the casual player before, this is character they mostly use. So in your post you talk about the zoning problem. Well the zoning problem is only a problem because of the casual player. Seasoned players usually don't go for the zoning . They are more interested in link combos and resets. Zoning players are no problem for a seasoned player, because they know how to counter pick or counter attack. What you forgot to add about this game was certain characters like doomsday and bain that are not zoners but rush down characters that can go through zoning, and once they get ahold of you you're pretty much done. you have to block most of the time instead of zoning. Great post man

If he posted in the character forum of the character he's having trouble with and said "hey, I use X, and when I fight Y I always have trouble with Z. Any tips?" he might get the help he's looking for. Instead he posts this whole "I don't like zoning in IGUA" and expects to be spoon-fed all the different solutions to ever possible problem. Or he could get a friend to play him and he could try different things to get around the tactic causing him trouble. I realize not everyone has someone to play against, so a focused post describing what he is stuck on would be best.

If people seem like jerks here, its because it is boring reading the same crybaby threads over and over again. I would hope people sign up here to learn and improve their game, even if they never go to a tournament. This site helped me a lot, especially since I have no one local to play against. I still get beat a lot and I don't have the skill to get around some things, but I don't get pissy about it, I realize its my own skill level that's lacking, not that the game is broken or the opponent is being "cheap."

Seriously, all new members should read this: http://testyourmight.com/threads/all-you-do-is-the-same-move-over-and-over.32698/

Injustice Zoning is just MK9 Zoning revamped. Now you can hit people from front, above, below, behind, within, from the background of the screen, through the monitor, and call them on a cellphone mid-game and whack them with a hammer coming from the phone.

That is to say, NRS Games' projectiles are too fast.
They need to learn from Capcom in that regard, too.

Sorry but this one had me the most laughing.

Maybe thats what your guys problem is but refuse to admit, you don't block. And honestly all those randoms online, the casuals or the scrubs they have one thing in common, they don't block.
Thats a huge leak, try working on that in the lab, cause thats whats training is for, learning to block shit also includes that.
And if you dont agree, call Chris G. (not intended to make it rhyme)

I hope you gonna give a better reply then pointing out a grammatical error.

- thank you so much, it's people like you that make all the hate worth it... And I completely agree with you about the blocking being hard now I play on Xbox and the blocking is really bad because I use to play mk9 alot then I moved in too injustice where as there is no block butto so I'm still getting use to it... But yeah I do also agree that the full screen can be helpful at certain times. But I actually can get past zoners ( expect for sinestro..) but all the zoning just makes the game boring too me and that's kind of whys hat made me post this also was not to bitch but just explain what I thought was he problem ..

- **you're going to... Lol just kidding man but I know how to block if you don't believe me I'm always up for 1v1 :) but the reason I mentioned blocking is because the way injustice is like intractables, fast projectiles , powerful zoning/rush down characters.. All that mixed with push blocking is the reason why it's sort of a problem

Dudebro, you wanna talk about who can and cannot read? I've got your posts in a search tab right to the left of the one I'm in right now. I've got access to the advice that you say you took. My comment stands. Just because you say shit doesn't make it true.

It wasn't an unnecessary comment. I was legitimately inquiring as to whether or not this was a troll thread. I couldn't figure it out, at first glance it seemed too hilarious to be true but you were so adamant and earnest in your scrubbiness that I had to ask. And there's NO fucking point in giving you any advice. Like I said, you rejected the BEST advice you were given in the thread, I assume because it would actually make you better and cut into the time you can spend bitching about shit. But I'll tell you again: training mode, learn how to fucking walk forward and block. Works on every zoner, that's why zoning isn't a problem, which is why this thread is provably stupid based on the title alone, which is why I won't take it or you seriously.

Most zoning tools in this game give you a free dash on block too. Also something you would learn in training mode if you weren't so dead-set against... training.

If you refuse to use training mode to step up your game, you really don't have much of a place here. Hence my offering to you of your own advice. But apparently your browser locks you into a webpage for all eternity if you start a thread on this site. I was unaware you were trapped forever in this cage you yourself built out of your own inadequacies. Sorry man... must be a really touchy subject.

- never I said I refuse to use training mode at all I just don't think it helps playing against zoners what helps IMO is playing a lot of match ups against zoners in 1v1's to help better understand the match up... But okay whatever you say do you feel better now ?

I can understand both point of views. The easiest thing for you to do is to not respond if you don't feel like what he's asking is legit, or if it seems like he's being a whatever you referred to him as. Like it or not TYM is a popular site man. Maybe in due time he'll figure out what he's doing wrong, and fix. Maybe he wont. Maybe he'll m0ve on to the next game, but either way there's no need to insult. Casual or hardcore we need the community to grow.

This is entitlement to the fullest. If your getting beat its your fault every time. Not x character or game mechanic it's you. And it's no ones responsibility to get better except you. If you can't own up to what's going on in game you can't objectively analyze it and apply even base level strategy. When someone sees you crying over something the most helpful advice they CAN give is to own up because that is step one to winning. Also just because someone's better than you and can see that you have a problem friendly as they may be its NEVER their job to go into training mode learn your character and give you answers for situations. Like seriously how LAZY can you be. Until people stop thinking like this they aren't going to improve at all.

"Never say 'never'
Learn. Adapt. Level up. Stop crying. "I can't dash in over and over without being hit with projectiles" is what I'm reading. I'm so glad I read the original post and last page. If you don't like zoners being as strong as rushdown, you have the wrong game.
