Who has Something To Prove in MKX: 'Return of The Footsie'

What is going on guys, Ya Boi Zyphox here.
i think INJ players can and will prove that they are good in MKX, people like Theo, jupiter, Digit, Max, myself etc need to make a statement when the game releases. i know i will have access to the NYC scene and i know we will go hard in MKX. if i turn out to suck in MKX i will be really surprised, as well as the above mentioned players and everyone else i didn't mention. the return of greats like CDjr, Detroit ballin, Reo, etc with combination of the new players, MKX will be hella fun. also i really don't want any outside Scenes to dominate us early in the game lifes span. that means if Jwong, floe, chris g etc come in and start mopping us up i will be really disappoint and will make it my mission to gatekeep these guys out of our top 8's. not saying i don't like them playing MKX, but that if they don't put full effort into MKX like the rest of us i don't see how we should lose to them. also i can't wait to see brand new blood as well. every generation there's always a few new players that take the community by storm, like honeybee, harold, FK jr, caption O2, Digit etc.

also i have a question for @GGA 16 Bit and @GGA pimpimjim is it hard transitioning from MKX to INJ and vise versa? compare it to playing MK9 and INJ. i know you are sworn to secrecy i just want to know how similar a transition it will be. for me personally its hard to play MK9 then INJ, just because of slightly different mechanics like MB vs EX and dash blocking, and walk speeds and block button.

I always forget there's not a block button for about 5 minutes

Well a lot of the best MK9 players were pretty bad or average at Injustice in the beginning. A lot hated the game and dropped it. Some like 16 Bit and Pig managed to get back on top but it wasn't without hard work.

I'm just saying don't take anything for granted. It will be a completely different game with different rules and top players will have to start over from scratch. You need to accept that you don't know anything and aren't a good player when a game is new if you want to improve. If you start off with the mentality that you're one of the best or that NRS players are better than Capcom/Tekken you will struggle I think.

Pick character that has a teleport; win EVO. Fuck footsies! And fuck character love. If your character doesn't have a teleport you will lose. This just how NRS games work.

If you're wasting time on a non teleport character in MKX then you must not want to win Evo.

Logic and prior results dictate that MKX Evo will be won with a teleport character. Book it!

there are a lot of MK players in the tristate area, the CD brothers, the VSM crew, INJ NYC scene, the break in Jersey. REO, Riu48, CD brothers, etc INJ players like grr, ronald rogan, king james, scoot mcgee, classy sasquatch, jailhouse, arturo plays MK as well. WNBA also and guys like 995phil streaming and rapzilla, also myself, i'll be taking trips every weekend to NYC during MKX lifespan no doubt.

also any newcomers as well as capcom players that will play it at NLBC, the break, VSM weeklies.

I don't really understand how Jr. has anything to prove... The guy was amazing in mk9. Shit, he just won EVO in a game that is considered to have good footsies all while beating other top fighting game players. Just because he talked shit and didn't play Injustice means he has something to prove? No. Honestly not many people in my mind have anything to prove. It is a game after all. Although I will say Swift Tom Hanks because dude is a chump. There is my anti-hype opinion.

@AK Pig Of The Hut what's your opinion on using an alt to cover 1 or 2 bad MUs? Do you have to be able to play against every character with only one main, or is it enough just to be able to play against every character?

to be honest the only people with something to prove in mkx are they people who played injustice, kdz, arma, theo, etc etc.. everyone else has to prove nothing, we know tom brady will be good at mkx and so will pl and others, I just want to see what these injustice players can do in the game.

Incidentally, a non teleport character has never won a mortal kombat Evo. I've also stated that superman being used to win Evo merely shows what attributes a non teleport character must have to win that tournament. So, by all means, if you find a pre patch superman type character in mkx then use them. But, I bet they get patched just like he did. And teleporters will reign again. Book it!

1.Thats a small sample size and 2. Didnt sonic fox use sonya this year to win mk at evo this year? Because that means that of the 5 nrs characters that have won evo, 2 of them have been non-teleporting characters. That by no means shows that teleport characters dominate nrs games at evo. And KL was won twice by the same person, so its not like it was another guy winning with KL, it was the same freaking guy

If the netcode rivals that of KI then the entire community has a duty to level up. I understand currently you can level up a bit with the current netcode. However, those who use it also have offline to compliment.
If netcode is garbage again.... The game will continue to favor the offline scenes and force those of us with no true scene to play a bit and watch from the sidelines.

The netcode will determine who has what to prove.
I'm one that wants to support, but I realized how much different the game is between the two at UFGT. Then I cried and bitched for the better part of a month. Thankfully I stopped and quit, I was hurting everyone with my attitude.

In short... Good netcode = everyone has something to prove. Bad netcode = the usual suspects.

I wouldnt take anything for granted. No one even has the game yet. And dont forget that there'll be igau elements in mkx, its not mk9 2.0
