We Need an NRS Only Major in The Midwest

Why can't it be something like Frosty (anime) or Apex (Smash) in that it's made clear that it's a major tournament for X game but it holds tournaments for others.

GGA is considering (and has been considering) doing an NRS major. While GGA is home to many NRS players and the company itself, the actual arcade is not large enough currently to support this kind of audience. We are looking at a bigger venue, like possible the GameWorks in Schaumburg. After the expansion that we are attempting to raise funds for, we may have enough space. So definitely a possibility!

Could GGA rent or use a hotel as the venue? I think that if this was able to happen it could be a major event to attend. Is GGA progressing well in the donation for new space?

Yeah for smaller communities this is te ebst way to do it, and if it goes well for all communities invovled it makes us look even better.

Why can't we throw capcom games in the line up?

Alot of good peoples in the Capcom scene and the games are just as fun to watch imo.

That being said if it was NRS only I would still go.

Just so you know, APEX 2 years ago was big for MK9 and it was a great tournament. Then the next year, they announced it again, but dropped it with no warning. So people kept asking for details/updates and got no reply, until it just wasn't there.

if im not mistaken mk9 had less than 30 people in 2012 and they finished it in a day
