Execution barriers indeed always have existed in fighters, but there's usually some sort of better correlation between something's effectiveness and its difficulty. Not in this game though, and that's the reason everyobody's jumping to characters like Bladam and Aqua who aren't only significantly, objectively better than those with especially difficult execution (like Grodd and Swamp Thing), but who have infinitely easier execution too.

That disconnect between execution and effectiveness is why we're seeing a near total lack of any hype characters and just more of the same pocket you-know-who's in the tournament scene and online, so anybody who thinks Injustice 2 is a simple "git gud" situation that separates the fighting game men from the boys is kidding themselves. There's no reason to "git gud" at polishing a turd when you can get way better at playing a top-tier that character a five year old could pick up with just one hundredth of the time and effort invested.

Ya, you're always going to have easier and more complex characters in a game. However, there should be some sort of correlation between the difficulty of execution and the results of that execution. As has been said before, if you're going to make a stampede cancel that insanely difficult, give people a reason to bother learning to stampede cancel. Right now, it's a wasted effort.
 
Yeah, its so INTENTIONAL it makes me want to scream. Take blue beetle for instance.

BB has laughable damage.

His footsie game is designed to be around f2bf3.... but in doing so, forces you to EFF UP HARD when you whiff the f2...then your f2bf3 is read as an unsafe f23... why don't you just do f23 bf3? cause you can't, thats why.

DF1 is uses forward to make sure YOU DONT CROSS YOURSELF UP......... which is super annoying because.... this V

He can cross up with a jump, feet on the ground, hit left triangle, see that he hit left triangle on button inputs, and get a right triangle output.....WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
 
just try Ivy BNB for 30 min straight and gets an average of that actualy landing on a Player than make an average of that on multiplayer its garbage it doesnt even do that mutch dmg
