According to NYTESHADE, this does not apply to Classic Battle. It has to be one of the side ladders.

What is the challenge ladder?? I just went through an entire section which I thought was the "challenge ladder" and still no unlock. I did all the battles on the first page. DAFUQQQQQ?????? What is even more annoying is that I beat the entire app already months ago and deleted it off my ipad so it is annoying to have to go through it again :/
